When a kid finds something that lights them up like this, it’s worth encouraging. ❤️

Barrel racing gives our youth so much to work toward. They want to get faster, improve their riding and win that buckle. Along the way, they learn lessons they’ll carry far beyond the arena.

They learn responsibility when a horse needs care before and after the fun. They learn patience when progress takes longer than they hoped. They learn to accept guidance, work through frustration and own their mistakes. They learn how to win with humility, lose with grace and cheer for a friend who just outran them.

And between the runs, they build friendships. They find people who share their passion, celebrate their progress and understand how much work went into that one good run.

Supporting that passion means celebrating their effort, helping them through the hard days and giving them opportunities to grow. Success can be a faster time or a buckle, but it can also be the confidence to try again after a rough weekend.

Those smiles matter. So do the friendships, the lessons and the person they’re becoming while chasing something they love. ❤️

Do you know what’s in your horse’s feed? 🌾🐴

I want to be aware of what I’m putting in my own body, and I feel the same way about what goes into my horses’ bodies. When we ask them to work, travel and perform, what we put in their feed buckets deserves our attention.

That’s why I feed Serenity from Coker Feed Mill here at Two Rivers Performance Horses. Feeding is a daily part of caring for these horses, and I want to be intentional about it—from understanding the ingredients to knowing how much each horse actually needs.

A pretty bag or a popular name doesn’t tell the whole story. Read the tag, ask questions and understand how your feed fits with your hay, pasture and each horse’s individual needs.

We put so much thought into our training. Their nutrition deserves that same effort. 💛

Your name carries more than what you say about yourself. It carries the experiences people have had with you.

Did you keep your word? Were you honest when it would have been easier not to be? Did you take care of the little things, even when nobody was watching?

A good reputation is built in ordinary moments returning a call, following through, owning a mistake and giving the work the care it deserves.

Proverbs 22 reminds me to pay attention to those everyday choices. I want the way I live and work to reflect the values I share, even on the long, frustrating days.

We can’t control every opinion people have of us, but we can take responsibility for how we treat them.

Give people a reason to trust the name you’re building. 🤍
