Bailey “Boo” Watts crossed the rainbow bridge Wednesday, April 15th, 2026 surrounded by her moms and all of her girls from Chocowinity Vet that loved her more than words can express. Bailey lived a wonderful life for 12 years.

As a puppy Bailey had major hip issues that required surgery. Her recovery was a lifelong process that led her to Chocowinity Vet Hospital for rehab therapy. She would go on to do rehab every week for ten years and become a part of the CVH family.

The care Bailey was given by her moms, Leigh & Kathy, exceeded what most owners are capable of. We are so thankful to them for allowing all of us to be a part of Bailey’s journey. She was Dr. Barndt’s first rehab patient, making her proud at every visit. Alana, Mindy, & Kayla all worked with Bailey over the course of her therapy and enjoyed every minute with her. Her harness will forever hang on the treadmill that she walked so many miles in. We will never forget how Bailey would walk into the hospital; she knew exactly what to do and where to go. She was the best patient anyone could ask for.

Bailey loved everyone she met and that love was reciprocated by countless humans and her little sister Rosie, who she leaves behind to take care of their moms. She will be missed by us all and remembered always. All dogs are special, but Bailey was truly one of a kind.

It's coat season at the office!!! We love seeing all of your fur babies coming in bundled up. There's nothing more precious than a dog in a coat 😍

We would like to congratulate Dr. Phillips on her new baby. To accommodate her maternity leave, our office hours will be changing for the next several weeks. We will be closing on Thursdays at 2:00pm, with only technician appointments available on Thursday mornings. Please keep in mind that our hours are subject to change in order to accommodate our 1 remaining doctor, and wait times for an appointment may be longer than normal. Please be patient with us as we provide Dr Phillips the time she needs to spend with her family.

Our office will be closing today (12/26) at 4:00pm for the holiday weekend. We will resume normal business hours on Monday, 12/26. We will be open on Wednesday, 12/31 from 8:00am-12:00pm and will be closed for New Year's Day. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday season!!!
