Important Update — September 2026
As of September 2026, Dobermans of Eastern NC will require all puppies placed through our program to complete professional basic obedience training. Dobermans are highly intelligent, powerful working dogs that thrive with structure, consistency, and proper guidance from an early age. This new requirement is being implemented to help set both our puppies and their families up for long-term success and responsible ownership. Proof of completed training will now be required as part of our Puppy Purchase & Lifetime Responsibility Agreement. Our commitment does not end when a puppy leaves our home—we want every Doberman we produce to have the foundation needed to become a confident, well-mannered and successful family companion.

Please Note: This is a mandatory condition of placement and will be enforced. Failure to complete the required training or provide documentation of completion may constitute a breach of the Puppy Purchase & Lifetime Responsibility Agreement and may result in enforcement of the remedies outlined within the agreement, including a requirement to return the dog to Dobermans of Eastern NC.
