Walked into the stall where I kept my first horse.

And for a second, I was 10 again.

Same smell. Same feeling. Same little girl who thought horses were magic.

Still one of my biggest dreams to own this place someday. But today, I was just grateful for the time travel šŸ¤

One thing that made content creation WAY easier for me as a first-time creatorā€¦

I stopped trying to create content every day and started collecting it instead.

Iā€™d walk into the barn, stick my phone on a tripod, hit record, and go do normal horse stuff šŸ¤ 

Ride. Feed. Groom. Tack up.

Later, I could sit down with one long video and turn it into several short videos.

I think a lot of horse people make content creation harder than it needs to be.

I genuinely think horse people are sitting on one of the biggest missed opportunities online right now.

Most of you have knowledge, stories, experiences, opinions, humor, skills, horses, lifestyle, and everyday moments people would LOVE to watch and learn from.

And the crazy part? What feels normal to you is fascinating to people outside of this world.

You do not need to be a world champion.
You do not need perfect videos.
You do not need thousands of followers to start.

The horse industry needs more honest voices, more education, more behind-the-scenes reality, and more people showing what this life actually looks like.

Meet Emily ā¤ļø

Youā€™d never know it by looking at her, but Emily is completely deaf.

People always have questions when they meet her: Does it make her spooky? How do you communicate with her? Does she know her name? Does being deaf change her personality?

In this video I wanted to introduce you to Emily and show you what life actually looks like with a deaf horse. Sheā€™s taught us a lot about communication and how much horses pay attention beyond sound.

Horse people knowā€¦ the barn floor somehow gets dirty five minutes after you finish cleaning it šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ“

Iā€™ve been trying this push sweeper in the barn and Iā€™m impressed with how quickly it picks up dirt, shavings, hay, and all the little messes that seem to multiply overnight. Anything that saves me time on chores means more time riding and less time holding a broom.

Somewhere along the way, many of us were taught to spend summers worrying about the number on the scale, our age, or how we look.



I think Iā€™d rather spend mine chasing sunsets, riding good horses, laughing with friends, and doing things that make me feel alive. šŸ¤ šŸ“

Maybe the best summer goal isnā€™t fitting into something smallerā€¦ maybe itā€™s fitting more joy into your life.

Unpopular opinion šŸ‘€

Your horse isnā€™t fully trained if they can only be ridden comfortably inside an arena.

The arena is where we build skills. But the goal isnā€™t the arena. The goal is a horse that can take those same skills into the real world ā€” fields, trails, new places, distractions, wind, cattle, wildlife, and everything else life throws at them.

Iā€™m not saying every horse should be perfect outside overnight. Iā€™m saying part of a horseā€™s education is learning to stay connected and confident when the environment changes.

After 20 years of teaching beginners, I can tell you something most people donā€™t realize:

The joy and magic actually live in the beginner stage.

Not when you ā€œarrive.ā€
Not when youā€™re perfect.
Not when you know everything.

Itā€™s in the firsts.

Your first lesson.
Your first moment of confidence.
Your first ride where you finally exhale and thinkā€¦ ā€œI can do this.ā€ šŸŽ

Beginnings are special. Donā€™t talk yourself out of one because youā€™re nervous to start.

Thereā€™s just something about a barn party.

Nobodyā€™s worried about the house being perfect. Thereā€™s room to spread out, room for kids to run around, fresh air, music, good food, and everybody somehow ends up relaxed instead of stressed.

Honestlyā€¦ barn parties might be the way gatherings were supposed to feel all along. šŸ¤ āœØ

Heā€™s telling you the truth about your cues.

The Professor builds confidence by making riders get clear.

Heā€™s black and white.
Literal.
Particular.

If you ask correctly, heā€™ll do it beautifully.
If you ask wrong, he probably wonā€™t do it at all.

These horses can frustrate riders who want to be carried through the learning processā€¦

ā€¦but theyā€™re incredible for riders who truly want to become skilled horsemen.
