Santiago the Blue Merle Cavapoo is officially Dallas-bound!

Freshly groomed, looking handsome and completely unaware of just how exciting his day is about to get.

One of our favorite parts of puppy pickup days is knowing that while we’ve spent weeks getting to know these little personalities, their families are only just beginning to discover all the funny habits, quirks and cuddly moments that make each puppy so special.

Santiago is all ready to meet his parents and head home to the Dallas area, where a whole lot of new adventures await.

Wishing this handsome little guy and his family the happiest start together!

We promise we’re a very professional team here at Lonestar Pups😂

But when you spend your days surrounded by adorable puppies and a team that has absolutely no problem committing to the bit, things can get a little out of hand.

At this point, we’re not sure who’s more difficult to keep focused… the puppies or the staff.

Either way, we’re pretty sure our social media guy has given up on us🤣

Apparently Theodore believes chasing is only fun when he’s the one doing the chasing. 😂

This little Teddy Bear puppy had been following Ken around and chasing him all day, so eventually Ken decided it was time to turn the tables.

Theodore’s response?

Absolutely not. This was NOT part of the agreement. One look at that little face and Ken immediately went from getting his revenge to feeling terrible about it. 😭

Ruby is officially ONE! 🎂🩷

It feels like yesterday this little Cavapoo was starting her life with her family, and now we’re getting to see her celebrate her very first birthday.

One whole year of learning the family routine, discovering her favorite things, getting into a little Cavapoo mischief and becoming a bigger part of the family than anyone probably expected.

Happy 1st Birthday, Ruby! We hope your day involved plenty of attention, something delicious, and absolutely no rules about being spoiled.

There are some moments you just wish you could bottle up forever… so capturing it on video is the next best thing. Cavapoo puppies make the best family pups.

This was the moment Kumo the Cavapoo met her family for the very first time, after all the waiting, planning and excitement leading up to finally having her in their arms.

For us, we get to know these puppies before their families do. We care for them, watch their little personalities develop and help prepare them for this exact moment.

Then comes the best part… watching someone walk through the door and realize, “That’s our puppy.”

Welcome to your new life, Kumo. We think you’re going to be very loved.

Mini Goldendoodle puppies don’t necessarily need the biggest backyard, but they do need your time. 🐶

If you’re considering a Mini Goldendoodle, we’d probably ask about your calendar before your garden.

Combining the Golden Retriever and Miniature Poodle can produce a bright, social dog that genuinely enjoys participating in family life. Walks, games, training, exploring somewhere new, they’re often happiest when they get to do things with you.

That doesn’t mean you need hours of exercise every day. Little training moments throughout your routine, opportunities to play and explore, and even teaching your puppy how to switch off and relax all have value.

And then there’s that fluffy coat😍 Regular brushing and professional grooming need to be part of the plan from the beginning.

A big backyard is great, but simply opening the back door doesn’t replace interaction, training and time together.

Mini Goldendoodles bring plenty of enthusiasm.

Cavapoo puppies can create some serious competition in the family… mostly over who gets to sit next to them.

They have a reputation for being loving little companions, but one of the things we like about Cavapoos is their balance. They can be ready for playtime and a little adventure, then perfectly content settling down with everyone afterwards.

That can make them worth considering for first-time puppy parents, but an affectionate puppy still needs a good foundation.

Teaching them that being alone for short periods is okay, staying consistent with training, introducing new experiences while they’re young, and getting them comfortable with brushing and grooming will all make life easier as they grow.

The Cavapoo may be easy to love.

Deciding who gets the seat next to them? That part is up to your family.

Homer’s family is growing! 🥹 This handsome Morkie will be coming back to see us very soon, but this time, he won’t be leaving as an only child.

His family is picking up a new little brother from Lonestar Pups, and we’re just as excited to see Homer again as we are to watch these two meet.

One of the best compliments we can receive is when a family who previously brought home one of our puppies chooses to come back to us when they’re ready for another.

Enjoy these last few days of being the center of attention, Homer…
