We are a 501c3 non profit shelter for dogs and cats. We work to rescue abandoned, neglected, abused and homeless pets in the Nature Cost area of Florida and place them in loving homes.

🍎 GALA APPLE — 1½ years | Just under 30 lbs

Gala LOVES love...she's just a little shy about asking for it. Give her a moment to get to know you, and then something wonderful happens:

She picks you. ❤️

That's when the smiles come out—and trust us, hers is contagious! Gala is a gentle, beautiful girl who also happens to LOVE playing fetch. 🎾 Toss the ball, earn her trust, and before long you may have yourself one very devoted little best friend.

🏁 RICKY BOBBY — 3 years | 20 lbs

Ricky Bobby, on the other hand, is approximately 20 pounds of LOVE AND CUDDLES. 😂❤️

Ricky was recently returned because the other dog in his home was a little too scary for him—and considering it was a Great Dane vs. little Ricky...we get it, buddy. 😂

What we also learned? He absolutely LOVED the kids in the home and proved himself to be a champion-level snuggler. 🥰

Despite what his name suggests...

🏁 Ricky Bobby doesn't need to go fast. He just needs to go HOME.

🔥🍎 Okay, seriously… HOW are these dogs still here?! 🍎🔥

We have some absolutely wonderful dogs waiting at HSNC, and frankly, we'd like to file a complaint with whoever is in charge of finding their families. 😂

First up: THE FIRE BOYS. 🔥🔥🔥

Meet Blaze, Scorch & Inferno—three handsome black pups who are 5½ months old and growing into some BIG boys! We're estimating they'll be around 75–90 pounds full-grown.

And these three are exactly what you'd hope for in a puppy:

🔥 Happy
🔥 Bouncy
🔥 Goofy
🔥 Playful
🔥 And still completely unaware that they're eventually going to be the size of small furniture 😂

If you've been dreaming of a big ol' lovable goofball to grow up by your side, Blaze, Scorch, and Inferno are ready to bring the heat!

And then...there's our little Gala Apple. 🍎❤️

Gala is 1½ years old and just under 30 pounds, and she's the kind of dog who might not immediately march up and demand your attention.

She wants the love.

She's just a little shy about asking for it. 🥹

But give Gala a little time. Sit with her. Let her decide you're safe.

And then...

She picks you. ❤️

That's when you get to see that smile.

The kind that spreads across her whole face—and then somehow ends up on yours, too.

Gala is a beautiful, gentle little lady who loves being loved. She just needs someone willing to give her that first little bit of patience so she can show you how much love she's been holding onto.
..And somehow, they're all still waiting.

We really think their people are out there. Maybe they just haven't seen them yet.

These two have officially found their forever home TOGETHER! 🏡🎉

Cheese Wheel, our handsome 5-month-old boy, and Mouse Wheel, our sweet 5-year-old girl, are starting their next chapter side by side. 🥹🐾

We couldn’t have asked for a better ending for this perfectly matched pair!

May their new home have plenty of cozy naps, sunny windows, delicious treats, and LOTS of room to keep rolling through life together. 😂❤️

💛 A little reminder for our shelter family…

Caring for animals takes a lot of heart — and sometimes, that heart needs a little care too.

Whether you’re one of our amazing volunteers, foster families, adopters, donors, supporters, or simply someone who loves animals from afar, we hope you remember to take care of you, too.

Hard days happen. Stress happens. Sometimes the best thing we can do is take a minute, drink some water, step outside, ask for help, or give ourselves permission to rest.

You don’t have to do everything at once, and you definitely don’t have to do everything alone. 💕

Take what helps. Leave what doesn’t. Progress over perfection.

Thank you for all the love, time, energy, and kindness you pour into the animals and into our community. We’re pretty lucky to have such a wonderful village. 🐾💜

We had an ASTOUNDING 123 adoptions in the month of August, making it our LARGEST adoption month of 2026!!! 🐈🐩

A HUGE thank you to all the incredible community members that have taken our animals into their care and provided them with the love they so greatly deserve. 🏡💕

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers as well, coming out day after day to help the shelter. Our wonderful community is the backbone of the shelter, and we cannot express our gratitude enough 💞💙

🚨🐾 LOUIE & SNOWBALL NEED YOU! 🐾🚨

Meet Louie & Snowball — two best friends who have stuck together through thick and thin. ❤️🐱

These two are BFFs, and we want to make sure they get to face their next chapter together.

Louie is facing a leg amputation, and he needs a special family who is willing to open their home and heart to both of these sweet cats while he gets the care he needs.

🏡 We are looking for a FOSTER-TO-ADOPT home for Louie & Snowball BEFORE September 17th.

Louie is a 2-year-old male Domestic Shorthair, and Snowball is a 3-year-old female Domestic Medium Hair. They are currently enjoying the freedom of our Green Room, but what they really need is a home. ❤️

We know taking on a cat who needs surgery can sound intimidating. But Louie doesn't need someone to feel sorry for him — he needs someone who will say:

“Yep. You're my cat. And we're going to figure this out together.” 🥹❤️

And Snowball? She needs to stay right there beside her best friend.

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS, BEEP! 🎉

Today is a VERY special day because Beep is officially HOME! 🏡❤️

And with her adoption comes an incredible milestone…

🐾 Beep is the LAST of the 100 cats who came to us in 2024. 🐾

One hundred cats. One hundred stories. So many days of waiting, hoping, healing, and learning to trust.

We are incredibly thankful to every member of our team who cared for these cats along the way — who fed them, cleaned for them, talked to them, comforted them, earned their trust, and showed them the kindness they deserved. ❤️

And we couldn't have done it without YOU, our community. Thank you to everyone who shared their posts, commented, asked about them, donated, encouraged us, and helped spread the word until the right families found them.

Today, Beep gets to close the book on that chapter and start the next one in a home of her very own. 🏡✨
