MoonWillow Ranch Small Texas Ranch breeding quality performance Friesian and draft cross foals. Welcome to MoonWillow Ranch. Our small band of girls are all still young.

We are located 15min North of San Antonio, Tx on 7acres of oak and cedar known as our little piece of heaven. After losing our Great Grey Stallion, Sixes Playmate a couple years ago, we firmly left the Quarter Horse world behind. We are thereby taking a few well deserved years off from breeding and foaling to focus on these 4 girls and their growth and education! We will for sure post lots of photos of them as they grow and change and learn and eventually come into their own right! Though no cute foal watches and baby pictures will be coming in the next few years, we will still have lots of things to look forward to!

My rescue boys...
As most of you who know me know... im not a fan of geldings.... im a "mare-gal". But over the past year, the universe has put in our path 3 unusual geldings, each with their own purpose and story. Dyo, Bobbie, and now Dodge.Bobbie is here to stay. He's worth his weight in gold. Solid and sweet and smart. Gentle with just enough pizzazz to make a ride fun... dyo? He's probably eventually going to find someone else to call home but he's been a fantastic transition for while my horses and daughters are learning... and Dodge. Gosh he's sweet and kind and super loving. I can't wait to help turn him into the perfect kid's horse for somebody

Allow us to formally introduce "Dodge" (because he didn't)
Dodge is a coming 3yr old quarter-pony gelding stray who was hit by a car in the head and neck early Monday morning about 3weeks ago
San Antonio Animal Care Services picked him up and we pulled him that same day for emergency surgery and treatment to hold him for his stray period in case his people showed up.
We didn't expect them to, because despite the fact that he has great manners and is very friendly, he's also very thin....
After 3weeks his injuries are almost completely healed and he's gained a lot of weight!!!

My herd loves the water. They fight for the stream.
