Pets are experts at hiding discomfort, so subtle changes can be easy to miss. Watch for signs like slowing down on walks, difficulty jumping or climbing stairs, limping or stiffness, and changes in mood or activity level.

When pain doesn't improve with rest or medication, it may be time to explore surgical options. We partner with your primary veterinarian to determine the best path forward and send your pet back to them for follow-up care once surgery is complete. 🐾

True or false: My male cat will grow out of urinary blockages. 🐱

❌ FALSE. Urinary blockages in male cats are a serious, life-threatening emergency and they don't resolve on their own.

If your cat is straining to urinate, vocalizing in the litter box, or not producing urine at all, contact your primary veterinarian immediately. In cases where blockages keep recurring, a surgical procedure called a perineal urethrostomy (PU) may be recommended. That's where we come in.

Ask your vet if a referral is right for your cat. 🩺

Crayons, erasers, glue sticks, and wooden pencils can all be harmful if ingested. Keep backpacks zipped and supplies out of reach. If your pet swallows something they shouldn't, don't wait to seek care.
