It’s been a LONG week for the nursery crew at Black Top Ranch. 😴🐴

Dill, Wild Thing, Koe & Lilly officially got weaned this week, and apparently growing up is exhausting.

By Friday afternoon, the nursery crew had officially clocked OUT.

Dill? Down.

Wild Thing? Down.

Koe? Down.

Somehow, Lilly was the only one still standing at naptime. 😂

Big week. Big feelings. Even bigger naps. 💤
Weaning week: survived. ✅

Uncle Doodle, reporting for duty. Unfortunately. 🫡

Apparently, Oklahoma decided to give us ONE reasonably cool day, and management immediately took advantage of it.

Koe, Dill, Lilly & Wild Thing got weaned today.

The babies handled it well.
The mommas handled it well.

And somehow… this has become my problem.
I have officially been reassigned to the Serengeti, where my new job description includes babysitting four recently independent juveniles who have absolutely no idea how the real world works.

My qualifications for this position remain unclear.

Management says I’m here to provide “companionship and guidance.” I say I’ve been voluntold to supervise the nursery crew now that their mothers have clocked out.

So here I am. Uncle Doodle. Gelding. Role model. Emotional support animal. Head of security. Camp counselor.

Please respect my privacy during this difficult transition. 😂
