Did you know ours eggs are considered ā€œfertile eggsā€? Meaning if you were to keep them at a balmy 95 degrees for a couple days they have the ability to start forming a baby chick. This is because my flock does include 5 roosters whom are living their best rooster lives.

If these eggs are collected daily (which we do), they will NOT ever even start to form a chick because they just donā€™t get hot enough for long enough. So donā€™t worry, youā€™re not eating a baby chick!

So if youā€™re looking to start your own flock, just let me know! We have some ā€œfavoriteā€ hens whom I know are always producing fertile eggs. To actually hatch the eggs, you will need an incubator or a broody hen to sit on them. If you do not have this, talk to me! I can incubate your egg selection for you and hand them over at 2 days old. Hooray babies!

The egg stand is open today!!

And a reminderā€¦.in these really hot summer months chickens and ducks slow their egg laying considerably. They do this to use that energy to keep them cool. So for the hot summer months there will be less eggs! Therefore, get them while you can!
