But I want to tell y’all a little about WHY I chose this organization.
When I decided I wanted to do something to give back, I knew exactly who I wanted to call.
Marcy Cooper Mahler. 💗
Someone so many of us know, love, and admire. Someone who knows far too well what it feels like to have cancer touch your life. Not just once, but multiple times. And yet, through everything life has thrown her way, she continues to be someone who means so much to so many people.
I think sometimes we forget just how much the people around us may have walked through. We see their smiles, their strength, and their ability to keep showing up, but we don’t always see the battles they’ve had to fight to get there.
When I reached out to Marcy, I knew I could trust her to guide me toward a cause that truly makes a difference.
And not only did she lead me to Breakaway From Cancer, but she said something that made this even more special…

And just like that, something I wanted to do to give back became something we could do TOGETHER.
Breakaway From Cancer is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping those affected by cancer within our equine community.
The hats may be pink, but the cause represents every color of cancer awareness. This is for every fighter, every survivor, every family, and every life touched by cancer. 🩷🧡💚❤️💙💜💛
And that’s what makes this so important to me. Behind every cancer diagnosis is a person, a family, a group of friends, and a whole lot of people hoping and praying for better days.
