🐾🐴 What a beautiful day for Walk with Me at The Arboretum of South Barrington! ☀️ New friends joined our “regulars” to walk therapy dogs Peaches, Rigby & Schatzi and therapy horses CreamPuff & Charmer! 💕🐾
We loved seeing Lynn and Michele with their families—including Michele’s adorable grandbaby getting photos with our special therapy animals…and we picked up Vicki & Cam too! 📸🥰
And of course, our horses showed off their HORSEPOWER next to a McLaren! 🐴🏎️ Meanwhile, our PAWsome therapy dogs were busy cuddling and spreading SOUL!

🐴🍂 What an incredible day at the 2026 Chicago Hobby Horse Fall Showcase at SOUL Harbour Ranch (Barrington IL)! 🍂🐴
We are SO proud of all the hobby horse enthusiasts who rode, jumped, raced and competed today! Show Jumping, Barrel Racing and High Jump competitions showcased the incredible skill, athleticism, focus and memory required for hobby horsing—especially when remembering those challenging course patterns! 🤩🏆
A few special shout-outs are in order! 🎉
🏆 Caroline & Olaf soared to an amazing 42” high jump in the 12 & Under class!
🏆 GiGi & Gracie cleared an incredible 46” in the 13 & Over class!
And one of everyone’s favorite moments was the “Parade of Horses”! 🐎✨ Every rider trotted and passaged around the arena in a wonderful celebration of the hobby horse community—and our very own therapy horse Charmer even joined the parade! 💕🐴
We were also thrilled to have our miniature therapy horses GiGi, Charmer & Unique there to visit and share some SOULful connections with participants and guests. ❤️

Thank you to Mica Zandstra of (IG) and the organizers of the 2026 USHHC (United States Hobby Horse Championship) for choosing the SOUL Harbour Ranch Animal Therapy Program as their designated charity. They raffled off hobby horses and items and donated $500 to us from that raffle! Thanks to ALL of the USHHC riders for supporting that great event. We are so appreciative of the mentoring Mica has provided to us since we started HH events in 2024. She was the 1st person we called to help us get started, and we’re so glad we did! 📚🐾 READ WITH ME = PAWSOME READING! 🐾📚 Therapy dogs Lizzy & Maverick had a tail-wagging time today at Fox River Grove Memorial Library for Read with Me, a Pet Partners literacy program! ❤️ Students in grades 1–5 get to practice their reading skills by reading aloud to our attentive therapy dogs. And while the students are getting smarter with every page, Lizzy & Maverick are getting smarter, too—because they get to listen to some pretty amazing young readers! 🐶📖
There’s nothing quite like a furry friend who listens without interrupting, judges, or ever says, “You skipped a word!” 😂
We LOVE watching these special connections grow—one child, one book, and one wagging tail at a time! 📚 🐶🐾

💜🐴 A little Lunar love goes a long way! 🐴💜 Our beautiful therapy horse Lunar visited Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital today, sharing SOUL, smiles and healing with patients and staff. 💜
Dressed in her purple blingy hoof boots and sporting that adorable heart-shaped nose, Lunar had an almost magical way of making everyone’s day a little brighter. ✨ From gentle greetings to heartfelt connections, she reminded us that sometimes the best medicine has four hooves, a soft muzzle and a whole lot of unconditional love. 💜
Sharing Of Unconditional Love… it’s what our therapy animals do best. 💜
