Joanne Dalessandro, a longtime North Barrington resident, dog lover, friend and neighbor, is living with FSHD, a rare form of muscular dystrophy, and she’s turning her journey into a fight for a cure.

And of course, there’s a furry side to this fight too! Joanne’s pup Mavrik is part of the team, and participants are encouraged to put on their “Fido Fights FSHD” bandanas and Warrior Caps and walk alongside Joanne.

Reeses Barkery was happy to contribute treats and a raffle basket to help support the event. When our community comes together for one of its own, we’re always happy to lend a paw!

As one of the owners of Reeses Barkery & Pawtique, Zachary wears a lot of hats... although today we're celebrating what he wears on his face. 😄
