The doubt in your mind, the fear of making mistakes, and the pressure you put on yourself. Some days, progress looks like winning. Other days, it’s simply showing up, getting in the saddle, and trying again.

We’re incredibly proud of our StarFire team for continuing to push through the hard days, celebrate the small victories, and become a little better with every ride.❤️

There’s something special about a Gypsy foal, but behind all that fluff is a breed built on generations of careful selection.

Gypsy foals are known for their heavy bone, abundant hair, kind temperament, and compact, powerful build. While that famous feather may still be developing, many of the qualities we look for in an adult Gypsy can already be seen from a young age.

One of the most important parts of raising a great foal is giving them the right foundation. Early handling teaches them to lead, stand tied, pick up their feet, enjoy grooming, and confidently experience new things.

And don’t forget—foals change A LOT as they grow! Awkward stages are normal. 🫣 Good breeders look beyond a growth spurt and evaluate structure, movement, temperament, pedigree, and overall breed type when watching a young horse develop.

Every great Gypsy starts somewhere… usually with a whole lot of fluff, curiosity, and personality.

It starts on the tough days. In the round pen. In the early mornings and late nights. In the rides no one sees, the mistakes, the setbacks, and the decision to show up and try again.

The show ring is where the hard work gets seen—but it’s not where greatness begins.

You don’t achieve greatness by starting there. You create it. ✨🐴

This Sunday, the spotlight belongs to GGR Chevaliers Excalibur, a striking 2021 stallion.

Excalibur has the presence, personality, and eye-catching looks that make it hard not to stop and take notice. As he continues to mature, we’re incredibly excited to watch his journey and see what his future holds.

There’s nothing quite like watching a young stallion grow into himself, and we think the best is still to come for Excalibur. ❤️

In honor of weaning season being right around the corner… 🤎

It’s a bittersweet time of year watching these babies take their next big step. From the first wobbly moments beside mom to becoming confident, curious little horses of their own, it’s amazing how quickly they grow.

Weaning season marks the beginning of a whole new chapter, and we couldn’t be more excited to watch this year’s foal crop continue to grow, learn, and show us just what their futures hold. ✨

What a BLAST we’ve been having at Gypsy Fest in R***e, Colorado! 🤠🐴✨

Great horses, even better people, and so many memories being made along the way. There’s nothing quite like getting together with fellow Gypsy lovers, cheering each other on, and enjoying these incredible horses.

We’ve still got a couple days left of the show, and we’re soaking up every minute of it! ❤️ Here’s to more horses, more fun, and plenty more memories before the weekend is over! 🐴✨

The mares are the real MVPs. 🤍

Year after year, they pour everything into raising the foals we all know and love. They teach them confidence, manners, independence, and how to navigate the world long before we ever step in.

Behind every great foal is an incredible mare who carried them, raised them, and helped shape them into the amazing citizens they become. Their job isn’t always glamorous, but it’s one of the most important parts of any breeding program.

Here’s to the mamas—the heart, the foundation, and the true MVPs of it all. We are so thankful of everything they do.❤️

There’s something incredibly powerful about the confidence horses can give us—but there’s something even more special about a horse you can trust with your kids.

A horse that knows when to be gentle, patient, and forgiving is worth its weight in gold. They quietly teach our kids courage, responsibility, trust, and confidence while carrying our most precious cargo.

At Starfire, it’s about so much more than just horses. We are a family. We build confidence together, celebrate the wins, support each other through the hard days, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Watching a child find their confidence through the heart of a good horse is something you never forget.
