Somebody’s really happy they’re here! Can you tell?
Funny thing is when I got Lucy as a pup, the breeder had tested her for red factor which each parent (blue merle or black tri) needs in order to have to reds. I was provided test results showing that she tested negative for red factor, meaning she’d never have any reds. I had no reason to doubt it so I told people that she would never have a red. I had a test to prove it.
Her first litter tracked - no red pups.
As she started to have her pups, the second one to arrive was red. Well? I don’t know how to explain. Either the test was wrong OR I got the wrong results.
Either way, we were stunned but very, very thrilled to find out that Lucy IS red factored so WILL have red pups. We’ve very pumped to have an Aussie smorgasbord of 10 very healthy little bundles o’joy!
