Geneseo Veterinary Service, LLC Geneseo Veterinary Service is a mixed animal practice that provides for a wide range of needs both for pets and livestock.

Our fully equipped clinic can handle all of your pet's medical and surgical needs, and ambulatory farm service is provided for our larger patients. Started in 1972 as a satellite clinic for Cambridge Veterinary Service, GVS was purchased on June 1, 2013 by Dr. Grant Venema when Dr. Roger Pray retired. Dr. Venema had worked as a veterinarian for several years in the area before taking over ownershi

Paprika and the entire staff here would like to wish Sam , one of our kennel techs, and Emarie ,our summer intern, good luck as they both leave for college in the next few days! Sam is going into his freshman year and Emarie is going into her senior year. We know they are both going to do phenomenal! They will both be greatly missed❤️

Our next staff spotlight is a familiar face! Jillian, our clinic manager, has been with us since September of 2022. She is always willing to jump in and help wherever needed from helping restrain to answering calls and everything in between to keep the clinic running smoothly.
Outside of the clinic you can find her spending time with her family, at her kids sporting events, or spending time outside with her dogs.

With some new faces around the clinic we thought we would do weekly staff spotlights! Starting with our summer intern🤩 Here is a little bio about her,

Hi, my name is Emarie and I have been interning here at Geneseo Veterinary Service this summer! I will be a senior this year at the University of Illinois studying animal sciences, and I am currently applying to vet school!

My favorite part of working here this summer has been being able to improve my hands on skills. I have gotten the opportunity to observe surgeries, take appointments, and learn how to start reading diagnostic tests. I have truly enjoyed my time working here and getting to know this incredible staff!
