It’s almost that time of year, and we’re so excited to bring back one of our favorite holiday traditions. . . Pet Pictures with Santa at the Athens Area Humane Society! This year’s event will take place in our decorated garage, transformed into a festive holiday set just for your furry friends.

Join us for four days of merry magic:

For just $30, you’ll get a reserved time slot with Santa to capture timeless holiday photos. To ensure each pet has plenty of time, families are limited to two animals per slot:

⚡ Zeus ⚡

Meet Zeus, a one-year-old foster kitty who seems to have mistaken himself for the star of a soap opera. This absolute goofball is the king of dramatic performances and would like everyone to know that he is, in fact, suffering greatly from a severe lack of attention. Never mind that he was petted five seconds ago. Zeus believes all affection should be continuous and on demand, and he’s not afraid to announce his grievances to the entire household.

Underneath all that theatrics is an incredibly sweet, affectionate cat who loves to play, snuggle, and be wherever his people are. Whether he’s carrying on a full conversation with you or curled up beside you for cuddle time, Zeus is guaranteed to keep you entertained.

🖤 Leo & Phoebe 🖤

Two black cats, two very different personalities, and one adorable package deal! Meet Leo and Phoebe, our bonded foster duo who have mastered the art of doing their own thing while still being the best of friends. Leo is the outgoing, affectionate little shadow who wants to be involved in EVERYTHING you do. Cooking dinner? He's supervising. Taking a shower? He's checking your work. Going to bed? He's already claimed his spot on your chest! He's incredibly food-motivated, loves meeting people, and never misses an opportunity for attention.

Phoebe, on the other hand, is a quieter, independent lady who appreciates her personal space. She loves a good routine, head scratches, and the occasional laser pointer chase, but prefers affection on her own terms. While they spend plenty of time relaxing separately, these two love their evening zoomies, grooming each other, and keeping one another company. Leo has also helped shy Phoebe grow more confident, which is just one reason these sweethearts belong together!

Leo and Phoebe are currently in foster care and must be adopted together! 💕 Celia 💕

Meet Celia, our one-year-old tabico girlie who has already mastered the art of doing absolutely nothing! This gentle little lady is a firm believer in slow mornings, afternoon naps, and a lifestyle that requires as little effort as possible. Celia spends most of her days curled up in her favorite cozy spots, quietly observing the world around her and judging her visitors accordingly. She's not particularly interested in the hustle and bustle of life and would much rather spend her time relaxing in a peaceful home with someone who shares her appreciation for a good nap.

💕 Charlie 💕

Meet Charlie, our 6-year-old lady who is elegance, grace, and approximately 50% fluffy tail! This beautiful girl is a gentle soul with a soft spot for affection. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but offer her a few gentle pets and you'll be rewarded with instant purrs! Charlie is also quite the conversationalist, greeting her visitors with the sweetest little coos as if she's welcoming them into her royal chambers.

🐠 Nemo 🐠

Meet Nemo, our 5-year-old gentleman who came to us from our friends at OCAS after arriving as a stray, a little skinny and rough around the edges. Despite his rocky start, Nemo is about as gentle and affectionate as they come! He loves staying close to his people, soaking up all the pets he can get, and showing off his manners with a good ol' sit (although he does have some rather particular opinions about which treats are worth his effort 😂). He's also a curious little explorer who loves spending time outside, zooming back and forth in his run and enjoying the sunshine.

💕 Nyla & Bailey 💕

Meet Nyla and Bailey, our adorable puppy duo who have mastered the art of being besties AND rivals at the same time. These sweet girls love spending their days playing, wrestling, and occasionally trying to knock each other out of the way to be the first to receive your pets. After all, there's only so much attention to go around, and neither is willing to risk missing out! When they're not busy practicing their wrestling moves, Nyla and Bailey are incredibly friendly, curious little ladies who love observing everything happening around them.

🍪 Rolly & Freckles 🍪

Meet our newest bonded pair of cookies-and-cream sweetness, Rolly and Freckles! These six-month-old tuxedo boys are as charming as they are ridiculous, sporting matching black tails and adorable little spotted faces. We like to think each spot represents one of the few brain cells these brothers share, with each cell dedicated to a very important interest: springs, wand toys, tunnels, and, of course, more springs. There may even be one reserved for plotting their next act of mischief, but we haven't found much evidence of that one being used responsibly.

These two are absolute bundles of energy who take their playtime VERY seriously. Whether they're chasing toys, wrestling with each other, or investigating every corner of their quad, Rolly and Freckles have a remarkable talent for keeping themselves entertained. And when they've finally exhausted their supply of nonsense for the day, they're just as happy to pile into your lap for some affection. Both boys are incredibly friendly, and neither seems particularly concerned about whether there's enough room for two cats on one human. They'll make it work! Rolly and Freckles are a bonded pair and must be adopted together, which means their future family gets double the cuddles, double the entertainment, and approximately the same number of functioning brain cells.
