Make sure all your horses are drinking water! Whether it be from a glacier in Alaska, a bucket with some senior grain or alfalfa leaves in it, or your favorite recipe, keep those horses drinking!

B**r also counts if your horse isn't sweating

Horses 🤷‍♀️🙄

Definitely an unsanctioned piercing, but will heal fine and was definitely fun to clean!! The flossing technique was made up on the spot 🤣

Love CBE? Love coffee?? Here you go!!

Your equine veterinarian shows up in the pouring rain, in the freezing cold, on the worst days — and the best ones, too. Now's your chance to say thank you, publicly!

Starting July 1, share a video (up to 1 min) telling us how your equine veterinarian goes above and beyond. DM it to us on Facebook or Instagram by July 31.

✅ Each horse owner who submits a video will receive a digital $10 Starbucks gift card. There is no limit to the number of videos you can submit, but only one gift card will be allowed per person.

🏆 The veterinarian featured in the grand prize-winning video will be honored in person during the AAEP’s 2026 Annual Convention, Dec. 7-11 in Las Vegas, NV.

🎬 In addition to the top three placed videos, winners will also be selected in three special recognition categories:
* Most Creative Video
* Longest Relationship with a Veterinarian
* Best Junior Submission

All submissions must include the owner's full name and the veterinarian's name, and focus on partnership, dedication, and care beyond the expected. The nominated practitioner must be an AAEP member to be eligible to win the grand prize.

Tag your vet, get creative, and help us celebrate the people who show up for horses — and the humans who love them.

Special thanks to AAEP Educational Partner Zoetis for sponsoring this initiative and helping us celebrate the extraordinary bond between horse owners and their equine veterinarian!

America is 250 years old this weekend! Unless your horse is as ready as Sadie here, you might need some dorm gel, ace, or trazodone/resurpine for this weekend 's firework festivities 🎆 (or if you live in Winder, sometimes they start shooting days ahead...or after...or during the daytime) No shade, just the truth! 🤣

🎆call the office this week to get any medications you might need! 706.769.4749

🎆if you are unsure how your horse will act with fireworks, call and we can discuss a strategy that will work for you

🎆Our ER number is 706.240.3688 for any emergencies after hours or on the weekend

Stay safe everyone! Happy 4th of July!
