I'm am disappointed to say Atchison Humane Society did not make it to nationals to support our cause. Does this mean we are giving up? NO! We are about creating a cause the help better not only our community but surrounding ones. This is the start of our journey not the last. Thank you to everyone who has supported our journey and can't wait for the future!

Let's help them out

Kitty has been here going on four years now! Yesterday, an older couple came to see her. She absolutely adored them! She laid her head on the man's chest and gave them both several kisses. Unfortunately, they didn't adopt her because of her size and energy. I can understand that. Please, no mean comments.
It was just heartbreaking to see how excited she was. She thought she was going to go home. Poor Kitty....she went back to her kennel and just laid there.
Kitty is a spayed female, Husky Shepherd mix. She is around six years old, housebroken if let out frequently. Kitty loves to play ball, butt scratches, and in the summertime, she likes to play in the pool. The previous owner said she was good with cats. We're unsure about children.
Isn't there anyone who is looking for a companion? With no other dogs? Kitty needs a home! She's such a good loving dog! Please share! Let's find Kitty her new family!

Just jumped on to ask if anyone could donate a bag of dog food? We have 35 dogs here at the Humane Society right now, and we are down to one bag of food. We would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Don't Forget March 23rd we are hosting a Family Fun Adoption Day! Don't forget to share! There will be Food, Facepaint, Games, and you get to meet some animals, hopefully what will be your future fur-baby! It will be a ton of fun for the kids and it's a great way to support and give back to our community! Hope to see you there!!!
