Today is all about celebrating the dogs who make our lives happier, sillier, messier, and so much more meaningful. And we have a LOT to celebrate! 🥹🐶

So far in 2026, these Last Stop Rescue pups have found their forever families! 🏡❤️ Every adoption represents a dog who was given a second chance, a foster who opened their home, volunteers who never gave up, and an adopter who said, “Yes, you’re coming home with me!”

From tiny puppies to seniors, shy pups to goofy adventure buddies, each one had their own story… and now they’re writing their forever chapter. 📖🐾

Today, we’re celebrating EVERY single 2026 adoption and the families who made happily-ever-afters possible🥰

But the work doesn’t stop here. There are still so many dogs waiting for their turn💔

Long timer alert 😭

Louise is Last Stop Rescue’s longest resident. She joined the rescue back in December 2023. Louise is approximately 3 years old and a shepherd (& maybe Doberman) mix!

Louise has been very overlooked and we don’t understand why!! She gets along with other dogs - big or small. She is great at matching another dog’s play style. She also gets along well with cats.

Louise enjoys going on car ride adventures, long walks, or lounging around with her people! She’s also great at keeping herself busy with something to chew on.

Like any shepherd, slow introductions to strangers is best. Louise has a big heart but she needs a minute to meet new people.

This gal also LOVES food/treats more than life. This makes her an A+ student during training sessions!

Louise is looking for a family with an active lifestyle, older children (or no children), and someone with shepherd experience is preferred!

ISO FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!

Sometimes dogs are returned through no fault of their own. Hugh is one of those dogs.

At just 1.5 years old, this handsome Husky/Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix found himself back in rescue after his previous owner realized they could no longer give Hugh the time, activity, and attention he needs to truly thrive.

And Hugh? He’s ready to get back to living his best life🥹

Hugh is an active, happy, smart, adventure-loving boy who would love a family that wants to make him part of their adventures. He’d do especially well with an active lifestyle and/or another dog companion to keep him company.

Hugh isn’t looking for a perfect family. He’s looking for a committed family who will give him the exercise, enrichment, structure, companionship, and love that a young, energetic dog needs.

He has so much love and potential to give. He just needs someone willing to keep showing up for him❤️

Blaze’s motto: Play hard. Nap harder. 🐾💤

After a busy day of puppy adventures, there’s nothing Blaze loves more than curling up with his people—or one of his canine foster cuddle buddies.

This sweet boy has clearly mastered the art of getting cozy! ❤️

This adoptable boy is 4 months old, 10 lbs, full of personality, and loves everyone he meets (including dogs, cats, and kids)! He is the last one of his litter to find his forever home 😭💔

It’s raining PUPPIES and we need foster homes! 🐶

Have you ever considered fostering? Now is your chance to give it a shot with our newest litter of pups arriving this weekend! We were told that they’re all female, 2 months old, and typical puppy energy!

We prefer them to be fostered in groups of 2 but are open to discussing based on situation. Fostering is free as we provide all the necessary supplies you need and ongoing support / training assistance.

For all of those who have been following Miss Sienna’s medical journey…we have some sad news to share. We found out yesterday during her follow up appointment that she has been diagnosed with cancer (mast cell tumor) 😭

Despite everything, this resilient and strong girl is still loving life every day. Her fosters have decided to adopt her so she can enjoy the remainder of her golden years in a forever home. This girl will be so spoiled, loved, and cared for until the very end! ❤️

We want to thank all of you for helping us get here. Without your donations and support, we would not have been able to make this surgery possible. Next steps will include seeing an oncologist for further information.

In the meantime, please keep Sienna in your thoughts and prayers!
