โ€œThey looked normal yesterday.โ€

One of the scariest things about exotic pets is how fast they can deteriorate.

If your rabbit, hamster, guinea pig, bird, reptile, or other exotic pet suddenly:
โ€” stops eating
โ€” becomes quiet
โ€” has diarrhea
โ€” vomits
โ€” seems less active

Please donโ€™t โ€œwait and see.โ€

From Routine Spay to Life-Saving Surgery ๐Ÿฉบ

This cat came in for what was expected to be a routine spay, but her pre-operative examination revealed pyometra, a serious uterine infection.

She was taken straight into surgery to remove the infected uterus, and thankfully, she is now awake and recovering well.

Pyometra occurs in unspayed cats when hormonal changes make the uterus more prone to bacterial infection. If left untreated, it can become life-threatening.

This is why early spaying is so important as it helps prevent serious conditions like pyometra before they become an emergency.

Neutering is about more than just managing behavior. For rabbits, itโ€™s a proactive step to prevent reproductive cancers, which are unfortunately very common as they age.

Signs your bun might be ready: ๐Ÿ‘‰ Territorial spraying or marking ๐Ÿ‘‰ Sudden "grumpy" or aggressive behavior ๐Ÿ‘‰ Persistent nesting or circling

Itโ€™s a routine procedure that leads to a calmer, healthier, and longer life together.

Fresh breath, but make it healthy โœจ๐Ÿถ
This cute pup came in for a dental cleaning + extraction - and the tartar you see? Just the tip of the iceberg ๐Ÿ‘€

A lot of dental disease happens below the gum line, where itโ€™s not so obviousโ€ฆ but definitely uncomfortable. If left untreated, dental disease can allow bacteria to enter the bloodstream, potentially affecting overall health.

Little signs to watch for:
* Bad breath
* Red or bleeding gums
* Chewing on one side
* Pawing at the mouth

Dental isnโ€™t just about a clean smile, itโ€™s about living pain-free๐Ÿ’›

Because every pup deserves to feel as good as they look ๐Ÿพโœจ
