Summer Lane Veterinary Centre is a RCVS Accredited practice providing quality veterinary care to pets and working animals alike. We endeavour to provide a personal and friendly service, whilst providing the highest standard of care for your pet. Our facilities include;

We are members of Weston and Worle Veterinary Emergency Service for emergencies occurring outside of these times.

🏆 We’ve been nominated for 7 Petplan Veterinary Awards! 🏆

We’re absolutely delighted to have received six nominations in the Petplan UK Veterinary Awards 2026, recognising both Nurture and some of the wonderful individuals within our team.

We’re incredibly proud that Nurture has been nominated for Practice of the Year, alongside individual nominations for:

We are recruiting! Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Full Time

We’re looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, independent team at Nurture in Somerset.

With our 24/7 RCVS Tier 3 Vet Hospital in Wells and our GP & Dentistry practice in Weston-super-Mare, we’re proud to provide high-quality veterinary care while remaining independently owned.

We’re looking for a vet who shares our enthusiasm for excellent patient and client care and would like to become part of a supportive, progressive team.

One month to go until our Charity Dog Show!

The countdown is on! Join us on Saturday 26th September, from 1pm–4pm, in the park next to Nurture Vet GP & Dentist in Weston-super-Mare for an afternoon of dogs, fun and fundraising.

For just £1 per class, you can enter your dog into our fun dog show, with all proceeds going to Dogs Friends, a fantastic local charity helping dogs in need find loving new homes. We have the pleasure of meeting and caring for many of their dogs here at Nurture, so it’s a charity particularly close to our hearts.

There’ll be plenty more to enjoy too, including cream teas and refreshments, and a great community atmosphere.

Just take a look at some of the fantastic entries to our Cat Photography Competition!

We’ve absolutely loved seeing the brilliant photos that have been submitted so far — here are just a few of our favourites! From tiny kittens and magnificent whiskers to cats finding very inventive places for a snooze, they’ve certainly been making us smile.

As part of our Open Day celebrations at Nurture Vet GP & Dentist in Weston-super-Mare on Saturday 26th September, we’re running a special Cat Photography Competition — because we couldn’t leave out our feline friends and their humans!

Whether your cat is cute, cheeky, lazy, mischievous or simply magnificent, we’d love to see your favourite photos.

Happy 11th Birthday, lovely Bear!

Today was a very special day for this handsome older black Labrador, Bear, who came to visit us at Nurture Vet GP & Dentist on his 11th birthday!

Bear got to celebrate with not one, but two visits today — first a lovely check-in with one of our nurses, followed by a visit with the vet. We think that deserves an extra special birthday treat!

Thank you to Bear’s owners for letting us share this beautiful photo with you all.
