We are a friendly 3 vet small animal practice which is close to Tesco and the Town Hall. Our aim is to provide an excellent veterinary service at a reasonable price in a caring, friendly atmosphere. We are open all day on Saturdays including for routine operations

Happy Birthday to the lovely Archie 🎉🎂

Archive comes in regularly to see our nursing team to have his ears cleaned and yesterday was his birthday!

Today he came in and wore his lovely new harness (and had his ears cleaned!) ❤️

Nothing starts the day like a room full of kittens 😻

Vet nurse Jodie had the pleasure of these lovely rag doll kittens who came in for their 2nd vaccinations today 💗

Everyone is growing well and enjoyed some tasty cat yogurt whilst they had their checks and injections 🐱

💔We have sadly had a deceased, young female cat handed into us this afternoon.

She is tortoiseshell in colour with some distinctive markings, not microchipped and not wearing a collar, and may recently have had kittens, she was found in Severn Road.

A cautionary tale……

Beautiful cat ‘Summer’ owned by vet nurse Jodie had to come in recently due to potentially eating string!

Although we couldn’t be 100% sure Summer had swallowed the string, we were highly suspicious that she had.

String can become a life-threatening linear foreign body if left to pass through the intestinal tract and requires surgery to give the best chance of recovery.

Summer was given an injection to make her sick and thank fully the offending string was vomited back up! This only works if administered soon after ingestion.

Thankfully Summer has made a full recovery and was back to causing mischief the same evening!

We've had a male black cat handed into us today. He has a collar and looks as if he has recently had a topical flea treatment administered. He is microchipped, however, this is not up to date.

Found in Bristol Rd Lower.

Lovely little ‘Digger’ came in yesterday for a Senior dog clinic 💗

Here he is sitting like a very good boy on his mum’s lap for his blood pressure readings 🐶

Digger had a range of tests and a vet exam to ensure we catch any changes early now he’s entering his senior years.

Happily, Digger is currently fit and well 😀
