🐾 Meet Pip 🐾

Pip | 2½-year-old Pomeranian boy ❤️

🌸 Basic Information

* Age: 2½ years
* Breed: Pomeranian
* S*x: Male
* Neutered: No – still intact
* Microchipped: Yes
* Vaccinated: Yes
* Parasite treated: Yes
* Cat tested: No

💕 Temperament & Personality

Pip is a lovely, friendly and happy little boy with a personality that certainly knows what he wants!

He is an affectionate, lively character who enjoys being around people and getting involved. Pip is also strong-willed, so his new family will need to be prepared for a little dog with plenty of opinions! He will benefit from kind, consistent boundaries and training rather than being allowed to run the show.

Pip is also quite the ladies’ man and likes the girls a little too much! 😂 Being still intact, this is something his new family will need to be mindful of.

🐾 Behaviour & Suitability

Pip is a friendly boy, but he definitely likes things on his own terms. One example is being picked up — Pip will decide when he feels like being picked up, thank you very much! 😂

His new family will need to respect his boundaries and allow him to build trust rather than simply assuming he wants to be handled whenever they choose.

With patience, consistency and positive reinforcement, Pip should thrive with people who understand his character and are happy to work with him.

🐕 Health & Exercise Notes

Pip is vaccinated, microchipped and parasite treated.

As a Pomeranian, he doesn’t need huge amounts of exercise, but he will still enjoy regular walks, play and plenty of mental stimulation.

Pip has not been cat tested, so we cannot currently recommend him for a home with cats.

🏡 Adoption Notes

Pip is looking for an understanding home that will appreciate his happy, friendly and strong-willed personality while giving him clear boundaries and guidance.

He may be small, but Pip certainly hasn’t read the memo about small dogs being quiet and easy-going! 😂

If you’re looking for a little character with plenty of personality, a cheeky streak and a healthy dose of independence, Pip could be your boy. ❤️

🐾 Meet Bexy 🐾

Bexy | 11-month-old Terrier x Chihuahua girl ❤️

🌸 Basic Information

• Age: 11 months
• Breed: Terrier x Chihuahua
• S*x: Female
• Neutered: No – still intact
• Microchipped: Yes
• Vaccinated: Fully vaccinated
• Parasite treated: Yes
• Cat tested: No

💕 Temperament & Personality

Bexy is a gorgeous young girl with a lovely nature and a real zest for life. At just 11 months old, she is still very much a youngster and has all the fun, playful energy you would expect from a young terrier cross.

She is a happy, affectionate and playful girl who loves being around people and enjoys getting involved in whatever is going on. Bexy has a lovely personality and is sure to bring plenty of fun and companionship to her new family.

🏡 Behaviour & Suitability

Bexy has been great with families and would make a lovely addition to the right home.

As with any young dog, she will need continued training, boundaries and consistency as she matures. Her new family should be prepared for a young, energetic dog who will need plenty of interaction, play and mental stimulation.

🐕 Health & Exercise Notes

Bexy is fully vaccinated, microchipped and parasite treated.

Being a young Terrier x Chihuahua, she will benefit from regular walks, playtime and enrichment to keep her happy and fulfilled.

She has not been cat tested, so a home with cats cannot currently be recommended.

🏠 Adoption Notes

Bexy is looking for a loving family who will give her the time, patience, training and attention she needs to continue growing into the wonderful adult dog she has the potential to become.

She really is a happy, playful little girl with a lovely nature, and we think she could make a fantastic family companion. ❤️

🐾❤️ BIG NEWS — MIDLANDS DOG RESCUE x PAWTAG! ❤️🐾

We’re incredibly excited to announce our new partnership with PawTag, who are generously supplying a FREE PawTag for every dog adopted through Midlands Dog Rescue! 🐶🏡

And this isn’t just another dog tag…

📱 WHAT IS PAWTAG?

PawTag is a smart NFC + QR identification tag designed to help get lost dogs home as quickly as possible.

If one of our adopted dogs ever goes missing and is found by a member of the public, they can simply:

👉 Tap the PawTag with their phone
or
👉 Scan the QR code

Their profile opens instantly — no app and no account needed for the person finding the dog. They can then contact the owner directly. ❤️

PawTag also offers features such as Lost Mode, community alerts, scan notifications and the ability to include important information about your dog. (Pawtag)

🐕 WHY DOES THIS MATTER?

All of our dogs are microchipped, but a microchip requires a specialist scanner. PawTag provides an additional layer of protection, allowing someone who finds your dog to potentially contact you immediately using their own smartphone. (Pawtag)

For us, that’s exactly what this partnership is about.

We don’t just want to find our dogs wonderful homes — we want to help keep them safe for the rest of their lives. ❤️

Every Midlands Dog Rescue dog will now leave for their new home with their very own PawTag as part of their adoption package. 🐾

A massive THANK YOU to PawTag for supporting our rescue and helping us protect the dogs we love so much. 🙏

You can find out more about PawTag and how it works here:

🐾 Visit the PawTag website www.pawtag.co.uk

Microchip + PawTag = another layer of protection. 🐶🔐❤️

Welcome to the MDR family, PawTag! 🐾

🐾 MEET MEG 🐾
🌸 Labrador x Lurcher • 4/5 months old • Puppy 🌸

Beautiful Meg hasn’t had the best start in life, but we truly believe her future can be very different. ❤️

Meg is a loving, energetic and incredibly intelligent young girl who is looking for someone who understands that she is still just a puppy and has plenty to learn.

She can be overly playful and a little boisterous, and she will need a home prepared to give her the training, leadership, boundaries and understanding she needs to grow into the wonderful adult dog we know she can become.

She can be a little scared when meeting new people, but thankfully she gets over this very quickly and once she knows you, her loving personality really shines through. 🥰

Meg is a blank canvas — and a very clever one! 🧠🐶 With the right person willing to put the time and consistency into her, she has the potential to be an amazing companion.

🏡 Meg’s ideal home:
❤️ Someone who understands young, energetic dogs
🎓 Committed to continuing her training and socialisation
🐾 An active home that can give her plenty of exercise and mental stimulation
👨‍👩‍👧 No small children — Meg can be quite clumsy and boisterous
🐱 Not cat tested — and we wouldn’t recommend a home with cats
💗 Someone patient who will help her build confidence

✅ Microchipped
✅ Vaccinated
✅ Parasite treated
❌ Still intact

Meg isn’t looking for a perfect home — she’s looking for the right one. ❤️

If you’re prepared to see past her puppy madness, give her some structure, and help her learn how wonderful life can be, Meg could be the girl for you. 🐾

📩 Apply to adopt Meg through Midlands Dog Rescue.

One of the questions we get asked a lot is:
How and why do you rehome your dogs so quickly, we always seem to miss out?

There’s no short answer to this question but here goes….
Every dog that comes to us has a stringent assessment on arrival, helping us find what they can cope with or not, together with a very real aftercare that we offer it allows us to give these beautiful animals a chance in a home whilst we support that move. Every dog we rehome has its own WhatsApp group with our entire team included, this includes adding and removing specialist care from wonderful people that offer their help such as vets, behaviouralists, vet nurses etc. we are very serious about our aftercare and hopefully many of you will vouch for the fact that we are always available to help.
We also receive many many applications for dogs and although you may miss out on one your application is always considered if we have another similar dog arrive.

We’re not perfect but we really do try, hopefully this will help some understanding ❤️❤️❤️
