🐾 What even are Monday blues? 💛

Honestly, how can you have Monday blues when you get to spend your days surrounded by dogs? 🐶

One of the things I love most about what I do is that every single dog has their own little personality. Their quirks, their funny habits, their different ways of doing things 🤪 no two days are ever quite the same, and that’s what makes this job so special to me. ❤️

Today we also had little Honey joining us for her very first visit, and what an absolute bundle of joy she is! 🥹💕 She did brilliantly going outside for her toilet breaks, had plenty of playtime, and we had so much fun exploring her enrichment toys together. It’s always so lovely watching a dog settle in, build confidence and enjoy themselves.

And of course, all the other dogs were their usual wonderful selves, making the day full of wagging tails, adventures and plenty of smiles. 🐾

Did we get absolutely soaked along the way? Yes. 🌧️😂

Do we care? Not one bit! Because muddy paws, soggy coats and a bit of rain are all part of the adventure, and I genuinely wouldn’t swap what I do for anything.

Feeling very lucky that this is my job. 💛

🐾 A little weekend trial with Bruno! 🐾

This weekend, we had the pleasure of having Bruno over for a little trial dog sit, and he settled in so lovely! 🥰

He and Stanley got along brilliantly, even swapping beds at one point! 😂 Of course, Bruno couldn’t resist investigating the toy box to see what treasures he could find. 🧸🐶

We enjoyed some lovely walks together, but with the cold, windy weather we’ve been having, there was plenty of time for getting cosy and keeping warm indoors, too! 🌬️🍂

It was so lovely seeing the boys get along and watching Bruno make himself at home. ❤️🐾

🐾❤️ A bittersweet day at Holly’s Happy Hounds!

Today is Ronnie’s last walk with us for a little while, as his lovely mum is going on maternity leave and will be spending more time at home with him. 🥰 And how exciting that there’s a new baby joining the family! I’m sure Ronnie is going to make the most wonderful big brother. 👶🏼💙

Ronnie joined us as just a little puppy, so it’s been so lovely watching him grow into the big, cheeky chappy he is today! He’s been such a big personality on both his solo and group walks, making lots of friends along the way and becoming a firm favourite with everyone. 🐶❤️

We’re going to miss having him along on our adventures, but we’re so excited for him and his family as they start this next chapter. Enjoy all those extra cuddles at home, Ronnie, and hopefully we’ll see you again soon! 🥹🐾💛

💚🐾 HOLLY’S HAPPY HOUNDS IS TAKING ON NEW CLIENTS! 🐾💚

A couple of months ago, I took the leap and turned my love of dogs into my job, and what a lovely journey it’s been so far! 🥹❤️ I’ve met so many wonderful dogs and their humans, and I’m excited to welcome more lovely faces to the Holly’s Happy Hounds family!

🐶 A little about me…

I’m Holly, the face behind the muddy boots, camera roll full of dog photos and a business that gives me even more excuses to talk about dogs! 😂🐾

I’ve had the pleasure of working with all sorts of dogs, from little companions to much larger breeds. As a Whippet owner myself, I also have experience with sighthounds, as well as flat-faced breeds like Pugs and French Bulldogs.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned is that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to dogs. Every dog has their own personality, preferences and needs. Some love big adventures, others want to sniff every blade of grass, and some need a little extra patience.

That’s why I work with you to get to know your dog and find the service that suits them best. 💚 And if you’ve struggled to find someone willing to give your dog a chance because of their size, breed or individual needs, please don’t be afraid to get in touch!

🐾 Meet the newest member of the Holly’s Happy Hounds family! 🐶💛

Today I had the pleasure of meeting this gorgeous little girl for the first time, and oh my goodness, she’s just the sweetest little bundle of joy! 🥹🐾

She’s only a tiny baby, and I can’t wait to start doing her puppy check-in visits whenever her lovely family need me. From little play sessions to toilet breaks, cuddles and helping her settle into her day, I’m so excited to be part of her puppy journey. 🐶✨

I’ve got a feeling we’re going to be the very best of pals! 🤍🐾

You don’t need to have a dog with perfect recall to enjoy the freedom of a group walk. The secure field means they can safely run, sniff and explore without you having to worry about them disappearing into the distance!

🐶 Socialisation & friendships
Dogs get to spend time around other friendly dogs, learn how to interact and build positive relationships. And let’s be honest… watching them make their little besties is one of the best parts! 🥹

💨 Burn off all that energy
Running, sniffing, exploring and playing means they get to use both their body AND their brain — so hopefully you get a lovely happy, tired pup coming home afterwards! 😴❤️

🧠 Mental stimulation
A new environment, new smells and other dogs to interact with gives them so much more to experience than a quick walk around the block.

Oakley had his very first walk with me today and he was such a good boy! 🥰 We had a lovely steady stroll together and he really enjoyed himself. We had some nice fuss and cuddles when we got back, and he settled down so nicely before I left. It was lovely getting to spend some one-on-one time with him and seeing him relax and enjoy himself. 🐾❤️
