The German Shepherd has evolved over the years. This chart helps to demonstrate just that! I personally do not think that long coat is a line……but the chart is helpful otherwise😊

❤️ Why Understanding Bloodlines Matters
There isn’t one German Shepherd line that’s automatically “better” than another.
The important question is:
What were these dogs bred to do, and does that match what you want from your German Shepherd?
A family looking for a companion may need something very different from a police K9 handler or someone competing in IGP.
And even within the same bloodline, individual dogs can be VERY different. Genetics, the parents, breeder selection, socialization, training and the individual puppy’s temperament all matter.
That’s why responsible breeding is about so much more than producing a certain color or appearance. ❤️
