Classes for Saturday October 24th!

With a bit of snow in the forecast, this will be the last outdoor agility class of 2026. Depending on demand, there may be small space skill-building agility classes through the winter that focus on confidence building and using the smaller equipment like weaves, jumps, teeter. Come out and play on the big equipment one last time!

Scenting workshop: A 90 minute intro to putting your dogs super power to good use! This workshop may also be used by teams that are interested in trying the NASDA trial on November 1st but aren't quite sure what to expect. This class will likely be partially indoors/partially outdoors and dogs work one at a time.

October classes!

Hockey schedules are almost complete AND for the first time in a really long time, I believe I may be able to offer SATURDAY group classes!

I'm irritated that Facebook won't let me build a poll on a post so I can see what everyone would be interested in if I were to offer some Saturday classes!

Advanced Obedience? Canine Good Neighbour Skills? Agility? Scent Detection? Trick and Confidence Building? Rally Obedience? Specialty courses that focus on Loose Leash Walking or Not Chasing Wildlife/Livestock/Cars etc?

First up would probably be some 3 week courses on October 17, 24, and 31st.

Save the Date! With our hockey schedule kind of getting sorted, I was able to apply for this date for some Halloween weekend fun! With a little luck, there will be left over candy LOL

2 Trials of "all the things" NASDA and maybe some Happy Ratters too if there is demand but I'm also planning Happy Ratters league for weeknights.

I have Life Skills and Manners classes running currently and have room this week for a pup or two to drop into a class due to students being away on holidays.

This would be most ideal for a dog that has taken my classes before but maybe could use a bit of extra practice or a tune up :)

2 Intro Workshops scheduled for this Saturday September 26! Sign up links below each title - space is limited!

Intro to Quarry Hunting: 12:30-2:30 (max 4 dogs)

This introduction to quarry hunting workshop is perfect for dogs that are active and love to "search". Quarry hunting - where dogs search for safely contained rodents - is a broader term for a variety of hunting activities and sports such as Barn Hunt, Ratting, Trailing. There are local competitions for some of these sports as well!

Intro to Rally Obedience: 3-4:30pm

This 90 minute introduction to Rally Obedience will give you insight into the skills needed to complete a novice rally course! All dogs are welcome but if they have some obedience skills such as walking nicely on leash and sit/down it would be beneficial!

I appreciate everyone's patience while I work on my Fall Class and Service schedule. It's looking like I should know tonight/tomorrow what nights of the week my kids have their hockey practices so therefore I can release class schedules for weekly classes soon!

I imagine it will be a little while longer before I'm able to know weekend tournament schedules but look for "pop up" classes, workshops and trials through the Fall as I go. I know this is not ideal for many families that really need to really plan ahead but with both of my kids in hockey and often one kid out of town for games, I need to do local driving for the other kid. I assure you, I'm doing the best I can to provide amazing classes and events for you and your dog!

WOW WOW WOW!!!! What an amazing weekend of Happy Ratters and NASDA!!!

I know these aren't even all the titles earned and I had a great time catching up with everyone and sharing your success at an amazing new venue!

We had perfect weather to boot!

Huge thanks first of all to our amazing trooper of a judge Laura Baratta who traveled up to us and put so much thought into some fabulous searches for us
