Escobar

A little hopping up and down on either side.

We've spent the past few weeks reinforcing groundwork after he was turned out for a couple months out on pasture. Encouraging him to open up and engage in training sessions. He is almost ready to get back to riding.

A little sacking out with the saddle. Moving stirrups, making noise, a little weight in the stirrups and some up and down.

This guy is ready for his first ride!

Casper

Circingle today, as a step towards getting a saddle on.

We've spent the last week desensitizing with the saddle to help him get over his fear. Today we switched to a circingle to let him get used to the feel of a cinch without overloading him with that experience on top of putting a saddle on.

Reconnect day, after a big step forward being saddled for the first time yesterday.

Full body brushing, and combing his tail for the first time.

Practice with touching front legs and an introduction to picking his feet up.

Getting back to saddling after a few days of reinforcing groundwork. We circled back to known concepts after the first two rides to give him time to process the experience.

4yr old flaxen liver

Saddle on and cinch snugged up👌

He's been good with the saddle off and on for a bit now, the the cinch has taken a little longer (he's got a ticklish belly)

He is very stoic and reserved in personality and not very expressive about how he feels about things.
