Mutts on Maple Osoyoos

08/18/2026

I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, unfortunately we had to make the very difficult decision to send Sako "home" to heaven. He gave us so much love and laughter and special moments, the house feels so empty without his presence and he will be missed every single day for the rest of our lives.

Mutts on Maple is now back to regular programming so those who have been waiting for call backs, or waiting to come in for nail trims, are welcome to come in as usual and your messages will be returned shortly.

I appreciate all the loving support and patience and am so greatful for my fur family members ❤️‍🩹

Update on Sako,

Thankfully we saw little glimpses of improvement today and are hopefully leaning away from the possibility of cancer (🤞🤞) and perhaps more towards a fungal pneumonia....which is still a big battle to win and will require alot more testing... but we are more hopeful and pray that todays progress continues... Sako isnt going down without a fight and neither are we!
**** As far as my bookings go tomorrow I WILL come into work as Jeff is able to stay home with Sako, however I will "NOT BE OFFERING ANY WALK-IN NAIL TRIMS" as I hope to get in and groom my 6 appointments and head straight home as early as possible.... so I ask that people Please hold off from coming into the shop unless you are scheduled.

Thanks again for all your prayers! They seem to be working!! I am taking things day to day so I will update again tomorrow night for my Wednesday clients...💙💙

A little update on Sako

Sako has been battling what we thought to be bronchial pneumonia for a week, but with no sign of improvement on his medications, we brought him back for another lung scan on sunday and were told that it has gotten much worse, his lungs show up white on the scan (should look black) ***suspected to be cancer***

We have been given another hard-core round of meds to distribute over the next 3 day and if no signs of improvement we will have to make the difficult decision to end his suffering. He is still showing little sparks of himself and occasionally wants to play with a toy, he is still eating (although its a bit of a battle as he knows were hiding meds in all his food) hes still going to the bathroom but is very wobbly on his feet...he is sleeping alot but his breathing is under 30 breaths per minute so this is a good sign.
That being said I will not be able to work for the next few days so I can monitor him and administer meds on time, pray over him and potentially spend precious last moments with him. For now I have moved everyone who is booked on monday to friday Aug 14th with the same booking times. I will be in touch with everyone as far as bookings go for Tuesday and Wed as im not sure where to move everyone... My brain is in shambles at the moment. I am in shock, hes only 8 and this came out of nowhere. My main concern for the time being is his comfort, getting him to eat and take his meds and to feel loved and safe. We are praying very hard for a miracle, he is a very strong boy and we cant stand the thought of losing him 🥺

Thank you for your understanding and patience abd prayers.
Give all your puppies extra kisses from me today 💙

As I approach 15 years in the industry 🐾✨, I’ve intentionally refined my approach to grooming by maintaining a limited, thoughtfully curated schedule.

This allows me to provide a calm, unrushed, and personalized experience for each dog 🐶💛, while also supporting long-term sustainability in my work 🌿.

❗️As a result, my client list is currently at full capacity 📅, and I’m unable to accept new clients at this time. A limited waitlist is maintained for future availability 📝✨.

📍Walk-in nail trims are offered as a convenience when time allows 💅🐕; however, availability may be limited during busier periods as I prioritize the care and attention of scheduled appointments. Typically, between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM is the best time to check for availability ⏰👍.

❗️I understand that some clients travel from a distance for nail trims 🚗💨. If this is the case and you see a sign indicating that I’m unable to accommodate walk-ins at that time, please feel free to pop in and let me know — I’ll always do my best to fit you in as soon as possible 💕🐾.

I truly appreciate your understanding and continued support 🙏💛. By maintaining a more limited daily schedule, I’m able to create a relaxed, stress-free, and enjoyable experience for both my clients and myself 🧘‍♀️🐶✨

😊💜🐶
