Introducing Saturday Day Boarding

While our regular daycare continues to operate Monday–Friday as usual, Saturdays will now offer a quieter, more structured day boarding experience for a select group of dogs who are comfortable with some independent downtime.

What does Saturday Day Boarding look like?
Saturday Day Boarding is designed for dogs who are comfortable spending periods of time on their own and relaxing in their own designated space. It will be a little different from our regular weekday daycare, where dogs have more freedom to participate in open group play throughout the day.

Your dog will still have a fun, enriching and well-cared-for day with us, including:

• Regular potty breaks
• Their own fresh water
• Individual play and attention with our staff
• Enrichment and opportunities to relax
• Small supervised play groups when appropriate and available

The goal is to provide a safe, comfortable and enjoyable day while giving dogs the opportunity to have plenty of rest and downtime between their activities.

Because of the more independent nature of the day, Saturday Day Boarding will only be available to dogs who are comfortable being separated from staff and other dogs for periods of time. Space for this service will also be very limited and must be pre booked in advance.

Saturday Day Boarding Rates:
Half Day: $20 (3–5 hours)
Full Day: $40 (Anything over 5 hours)

Saturday drop-off and pickup hours remain between 9:00 AM–5:00 PM and closed on Holiday long weekends.

Saturday Day Boarding will have its own service option when booking online, separate from general daycare and membership bookings.
For our Top Spawt Membership clients, Saturday Day Boarding will be included as part of your membership. Other memberships can also use their half days for day boarding or pay each time.

For Pay-As-You-Go clients and clients with hours, Saturday Day Boarding will be an additional charge.

We’re excited to continue offering a Saturday option for the dogs who enjoy coming in on weekends, while creating a calmer and more comfortable environment for everyone!

Saturday Daycare Update!

After giving it a lot of thought, we’ve made the decision to close daycare on Saturdays. We’ve truly loved spending our Saturdays with your pups, and this wasn’t an easy decision. Over time, we’ve noticed that Saturdays have naturally slowed down, with fewer pups needing daycare. At the same time, we want to make sure that whenever your dogs are with us, we’re able to provide them with the proper attention, supervision, and staff-to-dog ratio they deserve.
With both of these things in mind, we feel that closing Saturday daycare is the best decision for our team and, most importantly, for the quality of care we provide.

This isn’t goodbye forever! We’ll still be open on Saturdays for Nail Trims, U Wash, and Grooming. We’re also going to use this time to expand and develop some of our other services and offerings.
We’re also looking into introducing a Saturday Day Boarding option! We know that Saturdays are an important day for some of our clients, whether you’re working, heading out for a day trip, or simply need somewhere for your pup to spend the day from time to time.
Day boarding would look a little different from our regular play-based daycare, with more time spent relaxing in designated rest areas, along with some individual attention, toys and activities, and possibly a few small-group play sessions throughout the day. Because of the calmer environment and additional rest time, this may not be the best fit for dogs who need continuous group interaction or have a difficult time being separated from the group for periods of time.
This service would be very space-limited, but we wanted to explore having it available as an option for those families who truly rely on Saturday care. We’re still working out the details, so stay tuned for more information!

Our official first Saturday without regular daycare will be Saturday, October 3rd. This means Saturday daycare will continue as usual through September, and October 3rd will be the first Saturday that daycare is closed.

Thank you so much for your continued support, understanding, and for trusting us with your dogs. We’ve genuinely loved having your pups spend their Saturdays with us, and we hope to continue seeing all those happy faces throughout the week.

Just a reminder for Labour day long weekend! Daycare will be closed Saturday the 5th to Monday the 7th, we will be open for pre-booked grooming appointments and Saturday the 5th we will be open for U-wash and walk in nail trims 11am-3pm !

Hey y’all,

I wanted to personally say thank you all so much for all of the love, sweet messages, gifts, cards, memories, and little moments you’ve shared with me over the last few days. ❤️ I truly don’t think I could ever put into words how much it has all meant to me. I feel so lucky.

I’m beyond grateful for every single year I’ve gotten to spend with this incredible family, and especially for every dog who has crossed my path. Some for their whole lives from crazy pup to senior visits. I’ve been so thankful to love them, care for them, watch them grow, and be a small part of so many of their lives. Leaving Dog n Suds breaks my heart more than I can explain, but I’m choosing to focus on just how incredibly lucky I’ve been to have had this chapter for 14 years.

Today being my last day is so incredibly difficult. I don’t think it’s fully sunk in yet, and honestly, when I leave tonight, t’s not going to feel real. It’s so strange knowing that this place, these people, and all of these dogs that have been such a huge part of my everyday life won’t be my everyday life anymore. I know I’ll probably walk out the door tonight expecting to be back tomorrow like I always have.

Dog N Suds will always hold such a huge piece of my heart, and so will every person and every dog who made these years so special to me. Thank for letting me love them as my own. I’ll carry the memories, the friendships, the ridiculous stories, the chaos, and so much love with me wherever I go.

Thank you for making this place feel like family and for giving me so many years worth of memories I’ll never forget. I love you all more than you know
