This year, give a gift that helps animals in need while showing your appreciation for an amazing educator.

Make a donation of $10 or more to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes in honour of your favourite teacher, and we will:
❤️ Send the teacher a special card letting them know a donation has been made in their honour
❤️ Email or mail the card directly to them
❤️ Provide you with a charitable tax receipt for your donation

Simply provide:
✔️ Your donation amount
✔️ The teacher's name and their email address
✔️ Student’s name

We'll take care of the rest!

Small, athletic, and full of personality! Artie is always ready for fun and would love an active home.

We're still thinking about how adorable our Kitten Yoga event was this past Monday! 🐾🧘‍♀️

There’s nothing quite like a room full of playful kittens, relaxing yoga, and animal lovers coming together to support a great cause. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success.

A special thank you to Fieldside Yoga + Retreats for hosting us and partnering with us for this purr-fect event. We’re so grateful for your support and for helping us create such a fun and memorable experience for our community.

Happy Tails for Jenny, now known as Moxie ❤️

Back in February, this sweet girl was found as a stray with an uncertain future ahead of her. Fast forward a few months later, and Moxie is now living the life every shelter animal deserves. Loved, spoiled, safe, and finally home.

Here is what her adopters had to say:

“It will be three months this Sunday since we adopted Jenny, now happily renamed Moxie, and we wanted to share an update.

Moxie is absolutely amazing! She settled into our home from day one and has been a wonderful addition to our family. She is happy, healthy, very loved, and completely spoiled, as she should be! Always giving a lot of kisses.

We've attached a few photos so you can see how well she's doing and how much she's enjoying her new life.

Thank you for bringing this precious girl into our lives. We are so grateful to Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes for all that you do and for helping us find such a special companion.”
