Foster Update ā€“ Gracie

Gracie continues to blossom in her foster home! Sheā€™s an absolute delight with so much personality and is very well behaved. Her leash walking is still a work in progress, but sheā€™s improving every day. One big confidence win ā€” stairs arenā€™t so scary anymore! Sheā€™s now navigating them with very little hesitation.

Her coat is also starting to grow back and weā€™re beginning to see some curls coming through. We canā€™t wait to see what she looks like with her fluffy coat again!

Itā€™s wonderful watching Gracie become more confident and comfortable each day.

ODIN IS OFFICIALLY ADOPTED!

His foster home opened their doors to him, gave him patience and understanding while he adjusted, and somewhere along the way, Odin made it clear that he was already home.

OFFICIALLY ADOPTED ā€” MAIZIE! šŸ¾šŸŽ‰

Our sweet Maizie has officially found her forever home!

From landing safely and softly in foster care, making friends with her foster siblings, sailing through her decompression period and recovering beautifully from her spay surgery, Maizie has shown us what a smart, loving and adaptable girl she is.

Her new family had met Maizie at a meet and greet session and fallen for her before the adoption process began.

Congratulations, Maizie and family! Wishing you a lifetime of adventures, cuddles and happy memories together.

Foster Update ā€“ Gracie

Gracie is doing really well and her sweet, goofy personality is starting to shine! She loves being close to her people, following everyone around the house and rubbing against their legs when sheā€™s looking for attention or belly rubs.

Sheā€™s having lots of fun in the backyard chasing balls and squeaky toys, and has settled into a good potty routine. Leash walking is still a work in progress, as she can be reluctant and stop frequently, so her foster is taking things slowly and building her confidence at her own pace.

Sheā€™s a delightful little girl, and weā€™re so happy to see her settling in so well!

Gracie has officially started her journey with DRY!

When we picked her up, her coat was heavily matted and she had a strong doggy odour. Because she had an early veterinary appointment, we werenā€™t able to bathe her beforehand. She was an absolute sweetheart at the vet and handled her vaccinations like a champ. She was also diagnosed with bacterial and yeast skin infections affecting her chest and ears, so sheā€™s now on medication and on the road to feeling much more comfortable.

A huge thank you to GroomArt Academy for fitting Gracie into their schedule at the last minute. She received the care her coat desperately needed and left lookingā€”and feelingā€”so much better. She looked like a different dog! We are incredibly grateful for your support!

Gracie is now settling into her foster home, where sheā€™ll spend the next two weeks decompressing, resting, and adjusting to her new surroundings.

Please check back after her mandatory decompression period for updates on her progress and adoption availability.

Foster Update: Odin

Odinā€™s neuter surgery is done!

While he was under anesthesia, the vet also repaired a hernia and completed some dental work to help set him up for a healthier future.

Heā€™s now back in his foster home, resting comfortably and recovering well. Wishing this handsome boy a smooth and speedy recovery!

What started as a foster placement quickly became something much more.

From the moment Bruno arrived, he settled in beautifully. He embraced his new routine, loved his daily walks, enjoyed every opportunity to sniff and explore, and quickly won over his foster family with his sweet personality and eagerness to learn.

It didnā€™t take long for everyone to realize that Bruno had already found exactly where he belonged.

Today, weā€™re thrilled to announce that Bruno has officially been adopted by his foster family!

Officially Adopted: Bernie!

From the moment Bernie arrived, she settled beautifully into her foster home. Her goofy personality shone through, she formed a wonderful bond with the kids, and it was clear she had found where she belonged.

After completing her vet care, spay surgery, and recovery, weā€™re thrilled to announce that Bernie is officially adopted!

A heartfelt thank you to Bernieā€™s previous family for making the selfless decision to put her needs first. Thank you to Chris for volunteering his time to safely drive Bernie from Grande Prairie to Edmonton. And thank you to her foster-now-forever family for opening your hearts and home to this beautiful girl.

It truly takes a village to change a dogā€™s life, and because of this amazing community, Bernie has the forever home she deserves.
