FINAL UPDATE (10/15/2026): Finn’s owner has let us know that she will be taking things from here and no longer needs DRY’s support in locating Finn. We truly hope everything works out and that Finn is safe and well. Thank you to everyone who reached out, shared, and offered support along the way. This will be our final update on this sweet boy.

UPDATE (10/13/2026): We have learned that Finn was passed on by the new family to a colleague, who’s a “doodle lover at work”, without the knowledge or consent of his original family. We are trying to confirm his whereabouts and make sure he is safe. Please keep an eye out for Finn and DM us if you have any information. Last known location is Lloydminster.

🐾 INCOMING — MEET FINNEGAN! 🐾

Say hello to Finnegan (Finn), a handsome 5-year-old, 75-lb Sheepadoodle who will soon be joining DRY.

Finn is described as friendly, affectionate and great with children of all ages. He’s neutered, house-trained, knows his basic commands and is friendly with both people and other dogs.

Due to changes in his family dynamics, Finn is looking for a new chapter — and we’re currently looking for a foster home for him.

FOSTER NEEDED
If you’re interested in fostering Finn, please submit a foster application or DM us.

Foster-to-adopt homes will be given priority whenever possible. Our goal is to minimize the number of transitions a rescue dog has to go through and give Finn the stability he deserves while we get to know him better.

🐾 INCOMING — JASPER 🐾

Meet Jasper, a handsome 1-year-old Sheepadoodle weighing around 60–70 lbs.

Jasper is a sweet, friendly young boy who is great with children and friendly with other dogs. He’s still a puppy at heart, so he can get excited when everyone around him gets excited too!

He already knows sit, paw, down and leave it, and is both house and crate trained.

Jasper can be insecure and nervous in unfamiliar environments — a bit “scared of his own shadow.” He’ll benefit from a patient, supportive home that can help him slowly build his confidence.

🏡 Foster home needed

We are looking for a foster home for Jasper.
Foster-to-adopt homes will be given priority whenever possible to minimize the number of transitions he has to experience.

A transparent account on Neville

DRY was approached by a kind hearted lady who wanted to help Neville after seeing an ad in Kijiji and had volunteered to foster him, with DRY providing rescue support. Based on that arrangement, we agreed to help.

Once Neville arrived at the rescuer’s home, it became clear that he would need more support and experience than initially anticipated. His rescuer subsequently let us know that she did not feel able to continue fostering him.

As a small, foster-based rescue without another suitable foster home available, DRY made the decision not to proceed with taking Neville into our care and recommended transitioning him to a more established rescue with a larger foster network and resources suited to his needs.

Although Neville was not formally taken into DRY, we still covered his grooming and veterinary care to support him during the transition.

A special thank you to Meg at Doodle Me Pretty Dog Grooming for fitting Neville in at short notice and taking such wonderful care of him.

Most importantly, Neville is safe and has another foster home ready to continue his journey.

Sometimes helping a dog means recognizing which organization is best positioned to provide what he needs. We wish Neville nothing but the very best in his next chapter.

Foster Update – Gracie

Gracie continues to blossom in her foster home! She’s an absolute delight with so much personality and is very well behaved. Her leash walking is still a work in progress, but she’s improving every day. One big confidence win — stairs aren’t so scary anymore! She’s now navigating them with very little hesitation.

Her coat is also starting to grow back and we’re beginning to see some curls coming through. We can’t wait to see what she looks like with her fluffy coat again!

It’s wonderful watching Gracie become more confident and comfortable each day.

ODIN IS OFFICIALLY ADOPTED!

His foster home opened their doors to him, gave him patience and understanding while he adjusted, and somewhere along the way, Odin made it clear that he was already home.

We couldn’t be happier for this sweet boy and his forever family.

OFFICIALLY ADOPTED — MAIZIE! 🐾🎉

Our sweet Maizie has officially found her forever home!

From landing safely and softly in foster care, making friends with her foster siblings, sailing through her decompression period and recovering beautifully from her spay surgery, Maizie has shown us what a smart, loving and adaptable girl she is.

Her new family had met Maizie at a meet and greet session and fallen for her before the adoption process began.

Congratulations, Maizie and family! Wishing you a lifetime of adventures, cuddles and happy memories together.

Foster Update – Gracie

Gracie is doing really well and her sweet, goofy personality is starting to shine! She loves being close to her people, following everyone around the house and rubbing against their legs when she’s looking for attention or belly rubs.

She’s having lots of fun in the backyard chasing balls and squeaky toys, and has settled into a good potty routine. Leash walking is still a work in progress, as she can be reluctant and stop frequently, so her foster is taking things slowly and building her confidence at her own pace.

She’s a delightful little girl, and we’re so happy to see her settling in so well!

Gracie has officially started her journey with DRY!

When we picked her up, her coat was heavily matted and she had a strong doggy odour. Because she had an early veterinary appointment, we weren’t able to bathe her beforehand. She was an absolute sweetheart at the vet and handled her vaccinations like a champ. She was also diagnosed with bacterial and yeast skin infections affecting her chest and ears, so she’s now on medication and on the road to feeling much more comfortable.

A huge thank you to GroomArt Academy for fitting Gracie into their schedule at the last minute. She received the care her coat desperately needed and left looking—and feeling—so much better. She looked like a different dog! We are incredibly grateful for your support!

Gracie is now settling into her foster home, where she’ll spend the next two weeks decompressing, resting, and adjusting to her new surroundings.

Please check back after her mandatory decompression period for updates on her progress and adoption availability.

Thank you to everyone who helps us give dogs like Gracie a fresh start.
