**Barn kitty urgently needing placement**

We have a 2 year old female kitty urgently looking for a barn placement. She must be locked into her new space for a minimum of 3-4 weeks, and have access to a heated shelter, food and water daily. We’re able to transport within reasonable driving distance of Edmonton.

She doesn’t mind people, but it’s becoming clear that she needs more space and freedom to feel comfortable. We’re hopeful that a quiet, safe barn setting will give her the opportunity to relax and thrive.

4 month old torties Gina and Becca are waiting for you at Pet Valu Emerald Hills in Sherwood Park! Double the tortitude, double the love!

These beautiful sisters have grown up together, and now they’re hoping to find a forever home where they can stay together!

These girls are extremely social, affectionate, and full of personality. They’re the kind of kitties who might just cuddle and lick you to death if you give them the chance!

They’re wonderful with other cats, great with gentle kids, and could adjust to cat social dogs with slow, patient introductions.

The girls are spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and their adoption fee is just $250 for the pair.

A little update on Mama Evie! ❤️

You might remember this sweet girl who came to us after being rescued by Animal Protection Officers. She had recently finished nursing kittens and was suffering from a massive & very painful rodent ulcer, along with a permanently crumpled little ear from severe recurring ear mites.

Evie had a checkup with the wonderful Dr. Boctor at Windermere Veterinary Hospital today, and we’re happy to report she’s doing great! She’s gained weight, is feeling much better, and no longer needs pain medication! She’s eating & playing with toys like a normal cat,

Unfortunately, her rodent ulcer had progressed quite significantly before she came into care, so healing is taking a little longer. She’ll continue her steroid treatment for another month, but we’re very happy with her progress so far.

Thanks to everyone who supports our fundraisers and sends food through our Amazon wishlist, we’re able to put adoption fees directly back into veterinary care for cats like Evie. Every bag of food and every fundraiser order helps us stretch our resources a little further, and we’re so grateful for that.

Stay tuned for more updates on this deserving little mama as she enjoys the single lady life. We’re hoping she’ll be ready to find her forever home very soon! 🥰

**Adoption pending** Meet Alfie, the very last kitty from the St. Albert hoarding house still waiting for his happily ever after.

We’re especially thankful that Alfie and his friends are no longer living in the horrendous conditions they came from. But there’s still one thing missing from Alfie’s story - a forever home of his own!

Alfie is approximately 7–9 years old, and after everything he’s been through, we think it’s about time life gave him something good.

Understandably, Alfie can be shy with new people. After coming from such terrible living circumstances can you blame him? But give this sweet gentleman a little time and patience, and you’ll discover just how affectionate and loving he really is.

Alfie’s dream home would be somewhere quiet, without children or dogs, but he would LOVE a feline friend! He adores other cats and has been trying his very best to convince his foster brothers to be his besties. Unfortunately, they’re not nearly as enthusiastic about the idea as he is, so a home with a cat buddy would be important for this due.

Alfie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and in good health. And the very best part? His adoption fee has been fully sponsored!

This sweet boy has already spent far too much of his life in circumstances no animal should ever have to endure. This Thanksgiving, we’d be extra grateful to see the last of our St. Albert kitties finally find the safe, loving forever home he deserves. 🧡

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Furget Me Not!

It’s been a tough 2026 so far with the inclement weather, tough economy, and affordable housing crisis working against us. But we still have so much to be thankful for.

To our wonderful supporters and our amazing Pet Valu partners who do so much for us throughout the year, thank you for always being there for our kitties.

These sweet girls have a lot to be thankful for too! Thanks to your support, they’re safe, warm, and won’t have to spend a cold Alberta winter outside on an acreage. They’ll be ready to find their forever homes very soon!

Honey will be available for pick-up starting this evening! If you placed an order for honey only, you should have received an email with pick-up details.

Unfortunately, our soup and baked goods have been delayed and won’t be ready until next week. If you placed an order for both and would like to pick up your honey this weekend, please send us a DM!

**Adopted!** Hey humans, I’m Chance! Your newest in-store ambassador at Pet Valu Strathcona (104 Street), and boy, do I have a story to tell!

You see, my last humans dumped me outside Edmonton Animal Control. If you’ve ever been there, you’ll know it’s not exactly a safe place to toss someone out like garbage. There’s lots of traffic, cars, and scary things living in the nearby green space.

I was so frightened that I hid underneath a dumpster, hoping someone would find me. And when the staff finally spotted me, I just KNEW I was saved. I started making biscuits in the air before they even got close enough to pick me up! I was just so happy to know I was going to be safe and warm again.

Rescue human says the saddest part is that my last people didn’t even try to find me somewhere safe to go. They didn’t reach out to FMN or any of our rescue friends to ask for help. They didn’t give anyone a chance to help find a solution. They just left me outside to fend for myself, and I don’t understand why.

But you know what they say about getting dumped? The best revenge is a good glow-up, and I’ve got big plans for mine!

My next home is going to be the very best one, with humans who love and spoil me, and promise to keep me forever. No more dumpsters, no more being hungry or cold. Just a warm bed, a full tummy, and a family of my very own.

I’m approximately 4 years old, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I’m a sweet, affectionate boy who would do well with older kids and could share my home with another friendly cat, as long as we’re given a little space to get to know each other. We’re not too sure about dogs just yet!

And here’s some exciting news! To help me find my happily ever after a little sooner, my adoption fee has been partially sponsored.

St. Albert friends - please help us get Navi home!

She snuck out on October 5th in the Grandin area. She’s an indoor only kitty, so her family is very worried about her. **Adopted** Our handsome little pirate Popeye is ready to find his forever home!

Popeye is a fluffy 2 yr old tuxie gentleman who has had a bit of a rough go in his short life. He only has one eye, and a misaligned jaw meant he also needed to have some of his teeth removed, but you would never know it from his nothing but love personality.

This boy is just pure sweetness. He’s gentle, affectionate and an absolute cuddle bug. He gets along well with other cats, is good with older kids and is curious about dogs.

Popeye is the kind of cat who doesn’t need much to be happy - a cozy bed, a sunbeam, and someone to love. He would make a lovely companion for someone looking for an easygoing little shadow to share their home with.

Popeyes received a clear bill of health, is neutered, vaccinated and chipped, and his adoption fee is just $125.

Topples first day of school!

You read that right. Topples and our head rescue human had a great afternoon visiting Neil Ross Catholic Elementary School in St. Albert for READ IN Week!

We loved sharing one of our favourite stories with the Grade 4’s, James’ Reading Rescue by Dianna Wilson-Sirkovsky - a sweet story about a boy who struggles with reading, and finds a pretty special judgment-free audience in a shy black cat at his local rescue. Safe to say, this one hits pretty close to home around FMN.

Topples was an excellent reading assistant, but his most important job was showing the kiddos that being a little different doesn’t have to stop you from having a really great life.

As our resident CH “wobbly” kitty, Topples has never known life any other way. He runs, plays, climbs, explores and causes trouble just like every other cat, he just has his own unique way of doing it.

And really, that was our favourite message to share - there isn’t always one “right” way to do something. Sometimes you just have to find the way that works for you, there’s no such thing as can’t!

Thank you so much to the staff and students for inviting us to be part of READ IN Week. Topples had a blast meeting everyone, and we’re pretty sure he thinks school should involve significantly more cats 🥰
