This morning on Global Edmonton, Dr. Ted Purcell introduced senior sweetie, Athena 🐾

Athena is a nine-year-old Bengal mix kitty who enjoys the musical stylings of Whitney Houston and will never say no to taking in one of her favourite silent films. She loves attention, and will do well in a home that can provide her with closeness and affection.

As she is relaxing into her golden years, Athena prefers a quieter, calmer space where she can spend the day snoozing or following her favourite people around. She has a history of living with other cats and would be fine with another calm feline friend to match her vibes 🫶

Come meet Athena: https://bit.ly/3yTDUcQ

Calla’s Adoption Story ❤️

When Michelle spotted Calla at the Edmonton Humane Society in January 2025, she saw a small, adorable puppy she knew she had to make a part of her family.

At two months old, Michelle remembers Calla being so tiny that her full-grown mini dachshund weighed more than she did! But as time went on, Calla grew in size – and so did her bond with her new family. And that includes her canine and kitty siblings, whom we’re told she adores 🫶

When she’s not snuggling up with her family members or exploring on sniff walks, Calla’s favourite thing to do is play a game of tug or fetch!

“She has made our home an adventure and we wouldn't change a thing,” says Michelle 🏠

Thank you to Michelle and her family for welcoming Calla into their home with open arms. We wish them all many more years of love and fun together!

This morning on Global Edmonton, Dr. Ted Purcell told viewers about sweet and silly adoptable pup, Willow ❤️

This one-year-old rottweiler mix is full of energy, s***k and most of all, love 🫶

Willow will never pass up a moment to vigorously roll around in the grass before taking a break to zoom around the yard — making sure to stop by for some full-body scratches!

She adores people and will bring so much joy and laughter to her new home 🏠
