October is RVT appreciation month!

Here at Talbot Road we’re so fortunate to have 4 amazing registered veterinary technicians on our team!

Did you know that over the last few years and moving forward into the next couple there have been some major changes in the roles of RVTs? You may already know that their duties include venipuncture, surgical anesthesia, running lab samples and patient care in hospital but did you know that their training also allows them to perform diet consults, wellness appointments, vaccine appointments and patient triage?

These skills and more are why we love our RVTs! They’re truly the all around superwomen and are gorgeous inside and out to boot!

Say hi to let them know you appreciate all that they do or give us a call to book your next wellness appointment with one of these ladies!

Pictured left to right is Hannah, Emily, Amanda and Brooklin ❤️

Talbot Tuesday! Another staff pet highlight…meet Rosie 🥰

Talbot Tuesday: Another welcome!

As VA (veterinary assistant) Carly heads off to start her journey at vet school we are beyond pleased to welcome VA Hunter to our team! 🐱

Here are some words from Hunter:

I’m going into my second year of Veterinary Technology through Ridgetown College! Beforehand, I went to the University of New Brunswick for Environmental Management before realizing my passion was animal care!

I grew up in a home full of cats and dogs so I learned to love and appreciate them from a very young age.

Before moving to Norfolk in 2018, I lived in Central BC and before that Northern Ontario.

Outside of work, I can be found curled on the couch with my cat and a book, or attending different vendor events and classic car shows!

We look forward to having everyone meet Hunter!

Talbot Tuesday! Please join us in welcoming the newest member of the Talbot team, Dr Erin Dubois!

Here’s a few words from Erin:

I was born and raised in Brantford and have always had a love for animals. I completed my Bachelor of Biomedical Science at the University of Guelph before moving to Ireland to pursue Veterinary Medicine at University College Dublin, where I graduated in June.
Throughout veterinary school, I had the opportunity to gain experience in companion animal, equine, and production animal practice, which helped me develop a passion for providing compassionate, well-rounded care to all species!

If I look familiar, it’s because I actually had the pleasure of completing an externship here at the clinic in January, and I absolutely loved my experience! I really enjoyed getting to know the team and working with the clients and their animals. I’m so excited to be back home and officially starting my career with the Talbot Road team!

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, my partner, and my dogs, Mela and Lola. Any chance I get, I try to get outdoors and stay active!
I’m looking forward to getting to know you and your pets and becoming part of the community. 🐶🐱🐴❤️
