🐾 Baksy Update 🐾

We have officially reached a milestone… 😅

Baksy is being cat tested daily—and we’re happy to report that at least one cat has upgraded him from “absolutely not” to… “fine, you can exist” 🐈

Meanwhile, Basky is still pretty convinced that the 6lb cat might murder him out of spite… so he’s keeping things very respectful 😂

All jokes aside, he’s doing incredibly well:
✨ Curious but gentle with cats
✨ Learning boundaries like a champ
✨ Building confidence every single day

At just 8–10 months old, Basky is still learning the world—and he’s doing such a good job.

He may be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, his personality really starts to shine 💛

✨ Neuter scheduled for the 24th
✨ Applications are open now

Nigel found his forever home… now it’s Baksy’s turn.

Just look at that sweet face… how is this girl still waiting? 🤍

Willow is still just a puppy with so much love to give. She’s gentle, affectionate, and happiest curled up beside her people (as you can see 🐾). While her siblings have found their homes, Willow is still patiently waiting for someone to choose her.

She’s the perfect mix of playful and snuggly — the kind of dog who will be your shadow, your cuddle buddy, and your best friend all in one 💕

Weekly Recap 💛

This week brought a mix of hopeful updates and urgent needs for our Wildkind pups.

Vinny needs an urgent foster, preferably foster-to-adopt. This sweet senior boy needs a home with no other animals.

Willow also needs an urgent foster. She is still just a puppy and needs a safe place to keep growing.

Chief needs to find a foster so we can officially welcome him to Wildkind.

Marshal is still looking for his forever home.

Baksy, Nigel’s brother, is also still searching for his forever family.

And the best news of the week… Nigel has been adopted! 🎉

She’s just a puppy — full of love, curiosity, and so much potential. Willow is a pit bull mix who simply needs someone willing to give her the chance to grow, learn, and thrive.

Did you know that sniffing is like social media for dogs? 📱🐶

When you let your dog stop and sniff on walks, you’re actually giving them important mental enrichment. It helps:
✔️ Reduce stress and anxiety
✔️ Burn mental energy (just as important as physical exercise!)
✔️ Build confidence in new environments

💡 Try this: Dedicate part of your walk as a “sniffari” — let your dog lead (safely) and explore at their own pace.

A tired dog isn’t just a physically exercised dog—it’s a mentally fulfilled one too!
