Many dogs come to us that have done exclusively positive only training. And yet, I find that no one has taught the dog to enjoy working for its food.

Knowing how to incorporate chase, frustration and challenge into your food games can take a picky dog and make them look like they have top notch food drive.

After our first few years of running a dog training business, it’s become very apparent that being honest and straight forward with people about their dogs is the only way for them to have a chance at long term success.

No magic fixes, no sugar coating the process, just real dog training your average person can follow if they have the will to do so.

Where all the dogs start before they are off leash walking through town!

A solid foundation on the leash is required before we do anything off leash. This is where the behaviour is learned. Down the road (in a week or so) we will layer the e collar on top to reinforce a known behaviour.

You fix resource guarding with a wholistic approach.

Install impulse control and the ability to direct the dog. Deescalate the situation around the dog’s problem objects or spaces and then manage it appropriately (dog dependent).

And above all, don’t do stupid ****!

We have been pretty quiet on social media this summer…

The fact is that we are absolutely swamped with dogs just like Nola. Our wait lists are consistently pushing 2 months, our programs are booked out and we are getting more demand for training than we ever could have imagined when we started this business 3 years ago.

We have been focusing on helping as many dogs and people as possible this summer and marketing has taken a big backseat. We have multiple apprentices coming through the ranks learning how we train, and we’re excited to grow this year and help as many dogs as possible just like Nola.

We want to make sure we do things right here, and not sacrifice our standard of quality. Sometimes that means taking less dogs, or posting less on socials because the dogs need 100% attention and extra sessions.

But still, we love to show off dogs and our clients when we can, because we are incredibly proud of them!

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: Meet Otie 🐾

This handsome guy wasn’t supposed to still be here.

Otie originally came to us for training and, unfortunately, was never picked up. Since then, we’ve spent countless hours with him and have gotten to know the dog behind the story—and he’s become a favourite around here.

Otie is 2 years old, healthy, and highly trained both on and off leash. He’s great in the house, loves being part of the action, and has a fun, affectionate personality once he gets comfortable with you.

Like many dogs, Otie isn’t perfect. He can be nervous around new people and in public settings, which means he’ll do best with someone willing to continue his training and give him clear leadership. The good news? He warms up quickly when introductions are handled properly and becomes a loyal companion once he knows you.

He is:
✔️ Great with kids
✔️ Good with other dogs after proper introductions
✔️ Fully trained on and off leash
✔️ House mannered and easy to live with
✔️ Healthy and active
✔️ Looking for a forever home

Otie doesn’t need a perfect owner—he needs the right one.
