Hi, me again. Story time. My dog is a bush dog. Like many of yours. I have been so adamant on checking him for ticks...

Hi, me again.

Story time. My dog is a bush dog. Like many of yours. I have been so adamant on checking him for ticks every time he’s out and about. So far I have been very lucky and on top of things.
We took a trip into the city this week and guess what. I found one on him this morning. This just goes to show, they are not just in the bush and long grass.
I am also learning the difference between a dog tick and a deer tick. I’m so used to the typical deer tick , these dog ticks are surprising me! I took one off a dog last week sometime and this thing was bigger! So I did some more research.
So anyway, check your dogs! After every walk just do a quick check. I have been using an apple cider vinegar spray before he goes outside. I have been avoiding trail walks but realize today it’s not just on the trails!
🐶 And please avoid trail walks before grooming appointments and do a thorough check before brining them in. Remember they are treated, we are not. I have groomed many dogs where they’re are live ones still crawling on top of them. Which means they just picked them up! I appreciate the extra steps taken!
