Join us for a fun and practical feline-focused education night covering everything from low-stress handling and husbandry to safe, effective anaesthesia.

Learn how to keep your feline overlords calm, cooperative (or at least less offended), and set them up for success from admission through to recovery. We’ll share real-world tips, handling tricks, and anaesthesia insights to help reduce stress, improve patient outcomes, and make life easier in both the ward and theatre.

Expect plenty of nurse-to-nurse pearls, a few laughs, and skills you can take straight back to the clinic – because when it comes to cats, we’re all just trying to earn their approval. 🐱

Meet Dr Michael Linton – internal medicine specialists at MediPaws, with a practice spanning both cats and dogs.

Michael works closely with pets experiencing complex internal medicine conditions, helping investigate problems affecting organs such as the gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, liver, blood, and immune system. Using advanced diagnostics and comprehensive testing, his focus is on finding the right answers for each individual patient.

At MediPaws, Michael works hand in hand with our diagnostic imaging, surgery, and 24/7 emergency teams to ensure pets receive seamless and comprehensive care under one roof. Alongside his clinical work, Michael contributes extensively to veterinary education and research, and currently serves as a tutor for the University of Sydney’s Centre for Veterinary Education.

Total elbow replacement is one of the rarest and most specialised procedures in veterinary medicine, and we’re proud to offer it at MediPaws. 🏥

Watson, a very sweet and brave 5-year-old Labrador, was referred to MediPaws after previous bilateral elbow surgeries and ongoing pain that was not responding to medical management.
After careful planning, Dr. Dan James and our surgical team performed a total elbow replacement - one of the most specialised orthopaedic procedures available in veterinary medicine, and a surgery offered by only two veterinary surgeons across Australia.
The procedure was a success, and Watson is now on the road to recovery.

We’re proud to offer advanced surgical options for complex orthopaedic cases, helping pets like Watson regain comfort, mobility and quality of life.

Rosie was a little TOO committed to her treat 😳

Gorgeous Rosie, who is a 6-month-old Kelpie x, visited us after managing to get her hollow marrow bone stuck around her jaw!

These cheeky accidents can happen very quickly, especially with playful pups who love a good chew! With a light sedation and a gentle little technique of easing back the skin under her jaw, we were able to slide the bone right off ✨

Rosie recovered beautifully and was back to her happy, smiley self in no time, ready for cuddles at home. 💛
