Sometimes a home visit is more involved than expected!

This is Russell 🐾 Part of Russell’s treatment involved taking a blood sample and inserting an IV cannula, which we were able to do right at home with his family around him. He was a very good boy! 🐶

Mobile vet care is more than just check-ups, and visits like this are a good reminder of that.

Coco’s spa day 💅

Coco is terrified of going to the vet for nail trims, so much so that she shakes uncontrollably and can even become aggressive out of fear. Her nails were long enough that they were affecting her ability to walk, so her owners knew that something had to be done.

Thankfully, with time to build trust, cuddles from mum, the comfort of her home and a light sedation, we were able give Coco a health check and successfully trim her nails! Congrats to Coco for being so brave ⭐️

Thanks to Coco’s owners, Joe and Anna, for capturing this moment - we love being able to look back and see our furry patients 🐾

This is why I do what I do 🐾

This is beautiful Bentley - I went to see him for a lump on his ear. Thankfully, it was benign! But the moment that stuck with me was when little Sienna toddled over while I was writing up the notes and put her arms up to be picked up.

That’s the thing about home visits. I’m not just seeing a pet, I’m part of the family’s day, in their space, with the people and chaos they love around them.

For stressed pets, for busy mums, for people who can’t easily get out, for anyone who’s ever struggled to get to a clinic - this is exactly who I started Vet on the Go for.

🐾 Signs your pet might be in pain

Pets can’t tell us when something’s wrong, but they do show us. Here’s what to look out for:

🔹 Hiding or withdrawing from family
🔹 Changes in eating or drinking habits
🔹 Limping or reluctance to move
🔹 Excessive licking or grooming one area
🔹 Restlessness
🔹 Uncharacteristic aggression or grumpiness
🔹 Changes in breathing

If something feels off with your pet, trust your gut - you know them better than anyone.
