Are you the kind of person that can't wait to show photos of your pets to people you just met? Yeah, same! That's me in the page's profile photo. At least, that was me before the pandemic. I have a little more padding these days and sadly all four of those dogs have passed away in the five years since that photo was taken (but we've foster failed two more so I'm still a crazy dog lady, don't worry

!). With so many losses in such a short space of time the importance of capturing memories of our dogs has never become more apparent to me. People often ask when is the best time to book a session? Now. Now is the best time. Whatever age they are there's no better time than today. Don't put it off, tomorrow is never guaranteed. I've never had a client say they wish they'd waited but I've had lots say they wish they hadn't. If you want to see more photos of my dogs you can follow the on Instagram. Happy 2nd Birthday Spikey Spike, my little ray of sunshine.

He may have stood on my broken arm more times than I should have put up with over the last two months but it's not his fault that he needs to be touching me at all times 😆

We didn't do anything more fun than a long walk today (because I'm still in a sling and a bit shaken from an off-lead dog trying to attack Butters (for the fourth time)) but he did just have a week long holiday down the coast – where these were taken – so I'm not going to beat myself up!

Eternally grateful to Rescue Hub for allowing him to join a multiple male dog household. They're all the best of friends.

Taco and Princess' owner, Hannah, was the winner of my last giveaway. She opted for a studio session which took place in May. The Sheridan bed and blanket shown are part of their prize. Taco will also be getting a bespoke Ruffined Designs collar and lead set very soon. I broke my arm at the end of June so I've been out of action for a couple of months. FUN!

These were Hannah's favourites. I'll pop a video of the complete order below - a 20x30" framed fine art print, a 10 image box set, an acrylic block, the digital files and a bunch of goodies (we referred to those treats as crack at the shoot because Taco would do anything for them!).

It's not unlike me to go quiet on social media for no real reason but this time I have a pretty good reason ...

3 weeks ago I did a fairly epic stack and broke my humerus. First photo is me in the ER on the green whistle while I was put in what they call a u-slab cast. Apparently they always try and get the bones to fuse naturally before going down the surgery route, as surgery comes with big risks.

Another overnight in the ER and two fracture clinic visits later they finally decided to screw me back together. Friday before last they made me bionic and thankfully the procedure went well. I've been off heavy painkillers for 3 days and now the only thing holding me back is the sling which I have to wear for 6 weeks and not being allowed to drive for that long either.

I've really struggled with boredom. Sitting around watching endless hours of tv is not my idea of a good time. My calendar is closed until September but I've made a big to do list of business chores to keep me going.

I came very close to smashing my face to pieces on a concrete planter so, as s**t as my first broken bone experience has been, I'm grateful that it isn't considerably worse.

(The boys are fine, the husband has taken over my dog duties until I'm less disabled.)

Happy 5th Birthday to our middle son, Ninja 🥳

Professional good boy, expert treat catcher and occasional chaos goblin. Keeper of order, supervisor of the household and the one who keeps everyone in line. He’s always had an old soul… despite also being an absolute crackhead at times.

(Lots more photos to come but it wouldn't be much of a birthday for Ninja the Whinja if I spent the whole day at my computer!)

Two of my Pupstarts clients upgraded to include profesh photos (while their pups were still extra cute and smol).

Paddy the Scottie brought his two brothers in for his shoot but his Scottie brother refused point blank to cooperate for a group photo 😅 Paddy's ears stood up a few days later, so it's nice they'll have pics to remember when they were still floppy.

Moonlight the Pom x Poodle was born to model. I put him in things and on things and he just waited there until I was done. You can tell both his parents are in the farshun industry 😎

Meet Andy and Spud! They came for a Studio Session recently and these are their people’s favourites from the shoot.

It’s not often that people choose the pink backdrop so I had to check before we started that it wasn’t an error on the intake form 😅

Andy is 13 so he’s got a couple of old dog things going on – bad hearing and dicky joints – but the two of them were great overall and full of fun expressions.
