Are you the kind of person that can't wait to show photos of your pets to people you just met? Yeah, same! That's me in the page's profile photo. At least, that was me before the pandemic. I have a little more padding these days and sadly all four of those dogs have passed away in the five years since that photo was taken (but we've foster failed two more so I'm still a crazy dog lady, don't worry!). With so many losses in such a short space of time the importance of capturing memories of our dogs has never become more apparent to me. People often ask when is the best time to book a session? Now. Now is the best time. Whatever age they are there's no better time than today. Don't put it off, tomorrow is never guaranteed. I've never had a client say they wish they'd waited but I've had lots say they wish they hadn't. If you want to see more photos of my dogs you can follow the on Instagram. Poor Carmen had to wait a billion years for the photos from my session with her Shepherd, Dakota*, but judging by her message yesterday I think it was worth the wait 🥰

She originally booked a Studio Session, and knew there were stairs down to my underground lair. Dakota has some old dog aches and pains so she was a hard no on the stairs. Not even dehydrated tripe treats were getting her to budge off the top one. I suggested we reconvene at home (well, her friend's home) and Dakota was definitely a lot happier there.

These are Carmen's top 4, I'll post a video of the completed order in the comments.

If you'd like photos like this of your own dog there'll never be a better time than now.

Look at me all caught up on my personal editing 😎

I already shared a few pics from our birthday week holiday in Callala (which was back in August) and here are the rest. I will take great pleasure in finally being able to cross this off my to-do-list! It's actually a digital list which makes it far too easy to move things to the following day but it does a satisfying ding when you complete a task.

Check out Ninja's little dog syndrome in full effect. If we ever get a fourth dog who doesn't have a healthy fear of him we'll be screwed 😅

I dropped over to visit my friend El and get a tour of the new Sydney Dogs and Cats Home facility in Kurnell today. Of course I had to fall in love with a dog while I was there 🙄😂

This is Diamond. She’s just a baby (9-12mos) and dog social. Very sweet girl. Too sweet for my dogs, they’d break her!

I sat in dog p**s while I was there. Last time I was in Kurnell I sat in dog s**t at the start of a full day commercial shoot. Kurnell hates me!

I thought it was about time I edited these photos I took in May 😅

I did a similar photo of just the two red dogs before Spike joined us so I recreated it with baby in the middle. The other was just Butters trying all his tricks for a treat because he doesn't get food rewards when he's posing. It releases his 15.4% Neopolitan Mastiff!

I'm thinking about running this style of photo as mini sessions. Give me a wave if you'd like to be notified if and when that day comes.

(Don't judge me, I broke my arm in June, in case you missed me banging on about that!)

Happy 2nd Birthday Spikey Spike, my little ray of sunshine.

He may have stood on my broken arm more times than I should have put up with over the last two months but it's not his fault that he needs to be touching me at all times 😆

We didn't do anything more fun than a long walk today (because I'm still in a sling and a bit shaken from an off-lead dog trying to attack Butters (for the fourth time)) but he did just have a week long holiday down the coast – where these were taken – so I'm not going to beat myself up!

Eternally grateful to Rescue Hub for allowing him to join a multiple male dog household. They're all the best of friends.

Taco and Princess' owner, Hannah, was the winner of my last giveaway. She opted for a studio session which took place in May. The Sheridan bed and blanket shown are part of their prize. Taco will also be getting a bespoke Ruffined Designs collar and lead set very soon. I broke my arm at the end of June so I've been out of action for a couple of months. FUN!

These were Hannah's favourites. I'll pop a video of the complete order below - a 20x30" framed fine art print, a 10 image box set, an acrylic block, the digital files and a bunch of goodies (we referred to those treats as crack at the shoot because Taco would do anything for them!).
