TW Racing Trent Wells Racing is located on course at Spreyton, We offer Horse Training and Pre-Training. Trent is hands on and rides most of his own track work.

Trent was a successful Jumps Jockey until moving onto Training in a partnership for the last 10 years.

R5 N1 : It’s Jagger Time 💛❤️

He’s having a great prep albeit being the bridesmaid in all 3 runs so far but there has been merit in every run. He heads to Hobart for the first time in his career but with the blinkers re applied I’m sure he will be right in the thick of things.

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking person to join the team at Trent Wells Racing for casual stable work, 2 days a week, mornings and afternoons as needed.

Horse experience is preferred. Duties may include:

* Handling horses
* Feeding and stable duties
* general yard work
* Assisting with day-to-day stable operations
* Raceday a bonus

Must be confident around horses, willing to learn, and able to work in a team environment.

Casual hours available, with flexibility for the right person.

We have 6 runners today 🫣 at our home track Spreyton!!

R2 N3: Tikken 💛❤️

He’s a new comer to the stable that’s had his fair share of chances to break his maiden on the mainland. We’ve had him all prep and from a beautiful gate and Gando on board he should get his chance.

R4 N9: G G Can Win 💛❤️

The old boy is ready to have a good prep and break his winning drought. Not sure today will be his day but with hot speed in the race he should be hitting the line strong.

R6 N4: California Flyer 💛🖤

She’s had a great prep so far and was a little unlucky last start. It’s her first run on her now home track so that’s a question mark but has no weight after the claim and drawn well and will be on pace.

R7 N5: Platinum Reggae ❤️💛

She’s come on from her great first up effort and back to her home track which she’s won on previously. Drawn a bit sticky but looks good speed and if they are making ground I’m sure she’ll be there abouts.

R7 N10: Vanity Star ❤️💛

If we just go off his last few runs on the synthetic he’s a massive chance. I have lost a little bit of faith in him but he shouldn’t have any excuses today whether he wins or not he should still run a boltler!!

R8 N7: Only Old Once 💛❤️

We’ve been really happy with both of her trials and by the time the last comes around and after the expected 30+ mls of rain the track may be a bit of a survival of the fittest and she needs further then today’s 1150m.

Good luck to everyone involved, we are really looking forward to today despite the miserable weather. It’s a great kick off to the synthetic season for our team. Hoping for a winner or two but just really want to see some promising runs that should hold the next few months in good hands for us going forward.

We are off racing today at Launceston for Good Friday 🐎🐎

R2 N6 : California Flyer 🖤💛

Shes came through her first run for us in great order and even from the horrid draw looks a winnable race for her.

R9 N2: It Jagger Time ❤️💛

Jagger comes into this second up and rises to the 1400m which worked well last prep when he came away with the win. He’s well weighted and draw nice so he should get his chance and what is a very competitive race.

2 runners tonight at Launceston 🐎🐎

R2 N6: California Flyer 🤎🖤

We’ve only had her a short time and she came over glowing and is still glowing. Her form from the mainland and aided by an inside draw should have her very hard to beat but she has had 10 tries to win a race and hasn’t but we certainly can’t fault her.

R3 N3: It Jagger Time ❤️💛

Our mate jagger kicks off his prep after a 4 week freshen up. I thought he trialled really good especially his last 200m. He’s drawn tricky but I’m sure he’ll give them a run for their money.

Good Luck 🤞 🤞 a bit of extra pressure with 2 of my 3 boys making an appearance at the races which is a rarity.

We have 2 runners today on our home track 🐎🐎

R3 N12: Alpine Joy. 🩷🖤

A forgettable first run for us when she missed the kick by a couple of lengths. She has begun well and trialled good here on the synthetic track a month ago. Drawn good and no weight on her back, I expect to see her improve a lot as she works well on this surface.

R4 N7: G G Can Win. 💛❤️

We’ve put him over a couple of jumps which he loves, hoping to give him an extra pounce in his step. It’s a very winnable race and I’d be disappointed if he’s not right there in the finish.

We have 4 runners tonight at Launceston.

R2 N12: Alpine Joy 🩷🖤

We are still learning about her. She had a casual trial at Devonport but has thrived since then. Still learning her craft, but her last piece of work and mainland jockey Harry Grace on board should make her competitive.

R2 N13: Vanity Star 💛❤️

We went home with our tails between our legs last start and, to be quite honest, couldn't put our finger on it, but he had a week to freshen up and is back to 1200m, hoping that will have him return to his previous efforts with us.

R3 N11: G G Can Win ❤️💛

The old boy steps up to the 1600m earlier than normal in his prep, which I think will suit. He’s having a great prep and dropping in grade, and only still carrying 55kg after Jabez' claim, should have him right in the thick of things.

R8 N9: Star Walkin 💙🤍❤️

I keep hearing the Star Walkin song on the radio this week, so that’s got to mean something. He had a couple of small excuses last start, but I was still a little disappointed. Hoping a couple of tweaks with him will have him charging late in what is a very competitive class 4.

R8 N6: G G Can Win ❤️💛

Same old story with the old boy; he just needs a few things to go his way and he'll be a massive chance. Very happy with all his runs this prep, and I'd love to see him in the winner's circle again.

Nice and early start and finish tonight’s at Launny with the 2 runners in nice and early.

R3 N4: Leo Davinci 💛💙

Leo has had an ultra consistent prep but is still hasn’t got that elusive maiden win. There’s no reason to think he can’t continue his good prep and I’m sure if he can get some favours he’ll be no doubt there abouts again.

R4 N11: Vanity Star ❤️💛

He’s been hitting the line hard in both runs this prep and the step to 1400m looks ideal. The $1.50 fav looks a promising horse but hoping the old boy can hit the line hard again.

R3 N5: Star Walkin ❤️🤍💙

He’s off a bit of a freshen up which should serve him well. Leading apprentice Jabez takes 3kg off him which will go a long way to see him in the finish. Outside gate obviously no advantage but it does look as the field should spread out so look for him late. 🤞

R7 N7: G G Can Win ❤️💛

The old boss is having a cracker of a prep with two bottler’s of runs so far. He also gets 3kg off with Jabez but it looks a tricky race as he’s also drawn the outside gate 🙄 so will need a bit of luck but I can’t fault him at all 🙏.
