🐾🐩🐈Myth-busting: desexing!🐈🐩🐾

MYTH:
“Desexing will change my pet’s personality”

TRUTH:
Your pet will still be the same playful, loving companion you know and adore. Their unique personality won’t change.
What might change is a reduction in unwanted behaviour driven by hormones - roaming, mounting and some forms of aggression.
Every pet is unique. Speak to us for personalised advice about desexing your pet🐾

You might notice some of us at the clinic looking a little flushed, and then, hopefully quite a bit more buff over the next few weeks, as we take part in the Push up Challenge. The challenge is to raise money for Lifeline + to raise awareness of mental health issues. So, drop + give me 3307!!! 💪👊💪👊

⭐Our very own Dr Jess & Dr Sarah headed to Melbourne yesterday to take part in an in-person dentistry wet lab as part of their ongoing professional development.

The training included a comprehensive theory component followed by hands-on practical experience, allowing participants to develop their dental skills in a supported learning environment.

We’re incredibly proud to provide opportunities like this as part of our new graduate onboarding and training program. Not only does it help build confidence and clinical skills, but it also gives our vets the chance to connect and network with other graduate veterinarians from Tasmania and across Australia.

If your pet is due for a dental check-up or could benefit from a brighter, healthier smile, you’ll be able to book with Dr Jess & Dr Sarah when they return—or with any of our fantastic clinical team.

We’re looking forward to welcoming them back and seeing them put their new skills into practice!

These two little legends Daisy + Otto have lost a whopping 2.2kgs between them! No small feat for two small doggos!
Being overweight carries the same health concerns for our pets as it does for us, increased risk of joint diseases, diabetes, cancer and others.
If you are worried your pet has packed on a few extra kilos, pop in to the clinic, use the scales (no appointment needed) and chat to any of our staff for tips to get them into lean, mean condition.
Well done Daisy and Otto!! 🙌🙌
