Bird flu. As most of you will be aware, there have now been confirmed cases of bird flu in Tasmania. Please follow this link for more information, including how to keep your poultry or pet birds safe.

Dogs and cats (as well as other mammals) are at risk. To minimise this, avoid walking your dog where there are lots of wild birds + don’t let them eat any dead birds. Any wild caught bird meat should be cooked before feeding to your pet. Keep cats contained, so they are not roaming and potentially coming into contact with sick or dead birds.

H5 Bird flu is a highly contagious, viral disease of birds that can cause death in chickens. The signs of bird flu are very similar to Newcastle disease.

Post-Op Cuddles for little miss Trulea🥹💖

Someone was feeling a little sleepy after her big day, so naturally, the best medicine was plenty of post-op cuddles! 🐾💖

Desexing is about so much more than preventing unwanted litters - it can help prevent serious reproductive diseases, including uterine infections (pyometra), and reduce the risk of certain reproductive cancers. It also helps reduce the number of unwanted puppies and kittens needing homes. 🐶🐱

She was feeling sleepy, soaking up the cuddles, and being VERY loved today!💖 Time for plenty of rest, treats and TLC while this sweet girl recovers! 🥰🐾
