🥇🐰🐕We have some pretty special news from yesterday lure coursing 🏆 🐇🐶
Pending dogs NSW… Trouble can now be known as Champion Johgra Serious Trouble JP! And he is ready to witness all your legal documents 😂 Plus… he earnt himself a special award, keep reading!
He was a crowd favourite at the event, and his last event which was the 2 required to earn his Junior Pursuit. He had to run twice each day and yesterday that run was 819m, which he ran with enthusiasm twice! And he killed those baggies good and proper at the end 😂 The second run after the lead went on, I let him kill them to ensure he isn’t learning the fun ends when the lead goes on… As he is getting harder to catch 😂 He killed the first, then the second then the third for good measure with everyone laughing.
We were happy to have got his JP and had a fun day with everyone. But during presentations we got the shock of our lives when the lovely judge Michelle Gurney awarded him best JP of the day from 28 dogs entered!! There were lots of dogs who ran so well, I was not expecting that! She said she just loved him and got to have a cuddle and we got a photo 💜🐶
This is VERY special to us as it’s his (and my) first ever rosette for anything, at his second ever sport trial (mine too 😂) and it’s at a sport that you don’t see Chihuahuas at! And yes I know sprint dog has chihuahuas, but running 100m in a chute to an owner is very different to lure coursing. It requires a lot of drive to chase, great endurance and ability to work far away from the handler.
