โ ๏ธ๐ฎ Would you recognise a metabolic emergency in your cattle?
Metabolic disorders can develop quickly, particularly around calving or during periods of high nutritional demand. The early signs are not always obvious and can easily be confused with injury, pneumonia or general weakness.
Watch for:
๐ Staggering or poor coordination
๐ Reduced appetite or gut movement
๐ A sudden drop in milk production
๐ Rapid or laboured breathing
๐ Dullness, weakness or going down
Knowing what to look for, and acting early, can make a major difference to the outcome.

Always keep necessary supplies on hand for emergencies and seek veterinary advice when a metabolic disorder is suspected.
