Well… if there was an award for determination, I reckon we would’ve had that one covered. 😂
Nothing quite like turning up to a show one week after ankle surgery, on crutches, in a moon boot, with a 10-week-old baby.
Flo’s first horse show and she slept the whole way through it 😂

To the incredible Sarah Read—there simply aren’t enough thank yous. Thank you for pouring so much care into Dee and stepping into the saddle when I couldn’t. Knowing she was in your hands made being stuck on the sidelines so much easier.

And to my husband, Zac Tallon… who once claimed he’d never be a horse person. Thank you for carrying absolutely everything (including me at times), taking on whatever needed doing, and embracing your new life as a horse husband. I couldn’t have done any of this without you.

Then there’s my girl, Dee. ❤️

What a mare. One proper ride since GN, a two-minute warm-up, and an owner who has spent more time in hospital than the saddle lately. We weren’t exactly setting ourselves up for the perfect round. Results will come and go, but this mare owes me nothing. She gives me her heart every single time, and I’d choose her in every lifetime.

Finally, a huge thank you to the committee, judges, sponsors, volunteers and everyone behind the scenes who make this event happen each year 🥰

The most beautifully behaved mare who made me so proud. She was an absolute dream to produce and campaign— especially at 38 weeks pregnant! A massive few days, and now time to shift focus, temporarily retire Dee and spend time with our baby girl 🤍

Horses have always been my world, but for a little while I’ll be stepping back as we get ready to welcome our newest (and tiniest) team member.

I can’t wait to be back doing what I love & I will be before you know it — just with one extra little sidekick in tow 🐴👶
