Seed Cube

We’re bird owners first, and Seed Cube started because we wanted better products for our own birds.

Nugget still uses one of our early prototypes, and I actually love that. It’s a reminder that choosing good materials and building things properly matters years down the track.

A lot of the decisions we make still come back to the same question, would we be happy using this with our own birds?

Nugget’s feeder is several years old now and still doing exactly what it was built to do. 🙌

We had this comment the other day, and it shows a very real scenario for some birds.

They can hesitate with new things. Sometimes for days. Sometimes longer.

But hats off to this owner for sticking with it, giving her macaw time, and letting her work it out at her own pace.

And look at the outcome.

She’s now happily using the feeder, there’s less mess, less food ending up at the bottom of the floor, and something she was unsure about has simply become part of her routine.

We see people say, “My bird would never use that.”

Maybe not straight away.

Give them time, introduce it at their pace, and let confidence come first. 😊

Seeing “Seed Cube” used as a general name for enclosed bird feeders still feels pretty surreal to us.

But it also highlights something we care a lot about. When you buy from us, you’re not just getting a feeder. You’re getting the setup guidance, introduction tips and support that help give you and your bird the best chance of success.

And if you’re ever unsure whether you have a genuine Seed Cube, look for our logo. 🦜

Bogong moths are on the move, making their annual journey to the Alps. A pretty incredible little migration happening right now.

Cheaper doesn’t always mean better value.

If your bird eats from something every day, it’s worth knowing exactly what you’re paying for. 🦜

For something our birds use every day, knowing what it's made from matters. 🦜
