Desexing is a BIG deal! A desexing procedure isn’t just a “simple” surgery as for many of our fur babies, it’s their first big operation! So we want to make the experience as safe, comfortable and stress-free as possible. From the moment they arrive, we take extra steps to care for them:

Gorgeous Tibetan Spaniel Bertie (Albert) came in for his dental scale and polish, and Nurse Karly simply couldn’t resist taking a few selfies with this adorable little guy while out for a walk! He’s just the cutest! Did you know? Tibetan Spaniels were originally bred in the monasteries of Tibet and were treasured as little companion and watchdogs. They’re known for their independent personalities, silky coats and those gorgeous expressive eyes!

Gorgeous Groodle Buffy took advantage of Dental Month and came in for a scale and polish! Dr Jess performed a thorough dental assessment and got those teeth sparkling clean and pearly again! Buffy was feeling extra comfortable in clinic with Nurse Karly by her side, especially when she could give her paw for some reassurance.

It was a crazy Monday at the clinic, but somehow everything feels a little better when you have a gorgeous girl like Phoebe the Italian Greyhound to gather around! Despite the busy day, our team was all smiles enjoying some cuddles with this beautiful little lady. We’re so fortunate to have such an awesome team of vets and nurses who support each other, work hard and always make time for a little bit of puppy love! Here’s to surviving Mondays together!

Stunning Dominique came in to take advantage of our Dental Month special, $150 OFF a scale & polish. During Dominique’s dental procedure, we discovered two painful FORLs (feline odontoclastic resorptive lesions) hiding beneath her gums. FORLs are a common and often very painful dental condition in cats where the tooth structure is progressively destroyed. The tricky part? Cats are incredibly good at hiding dental pain, so they may appear completely normal at home. This is why professional dental procedures are so important. A simple look at the visible teeth can’t tell us the whole story. Dental X-rays allow us to see beneath the gumline and identify painful teeth and disease that would otherwise remain hidden.

Handsome Ralph is a regular at our cattery, and during his recent stay, routine blood work showed that his liver enzymes were increasing. To make sure there wasn’t infection or a mass causing him any pain or discomfort, we were able to organise an in-house ultrasound with Dr Melania. Ralph received a light sedation to help him relax and calmly undergo his ultrasound, with plenty of cuddles from Nurse Jamie along the way! We’re so glad we could give Ralph and his owner the extra care and reassurance whilst he was staying with us.
