Gorgeous little Lucy stopped by to see Nurse Karly for her routine weight check and intestinal worming. Typical of her breed this Miniature Poodle can be a little fussy when it comes to mealtimes, but mention treats and she's suddenly very motivated! Lucy was more than happy to show off some of her impressive tricks in exchange for a tasty reward!

Did you know dental procedures involve so much more than just cleaning teeth?
Here are Dr Melania and our nursing team performing thorough dental x-rays and detailed dental charting during an anaesthetic procedure. Every patient is closely monitored throughout their anaesthetic by one of our qualified veterinary nurses to ensure they remain safe and comfortable every step of the way ❤️
Many senior pets require dental treatment as they age, and addressing dental disease can make a huge difference to their comfort, health, and quality of life. Healthy mouths help our furry friends eat comfortably, stay happier, and enjoy more pain-free years with their families.

Who said guinea pigs can’t multitask?
Little Joey spent the day helping Nurse Jamie on reception and took his job very seriously… supervising appointments, checking emails, and accepting plenty of cuddles from the team along the way!

Congratulations to our latest puppy school graduates- Lewis, Bonnie and Daphne! These clever pups have successfully completed their puppy school classes with the wonderful team at Thrive Canine. Puppy school is such an important part of helping young dogs grow into confident, well-socialised companions. Positive reinforcement-based training helps puppies learn in a safe, fun environment while also building trust and confidence for both pets and their owners. Attending puppy school within a veterinary clinic also helps puppies become comfortable visiting the vet from an early age which makes future check-ups and treatments far less stressful.

Meet Maggie and Eddie, the dynamic Jack Russell duo, visiting with Dr Shuen for their vaccinations. These two kept everyone entertained with their playful personalities and endless energy! Vaccinations are such an important part of keeping our pets healthy and protected from serious contagious diseases such as parvovirus and distemper. Annual visits also give us the opportunity to perform a thorough health check, helping to pick up any concerns early and keep your furry friends feeling their best. And for Maggie and Eddie plenty of treats were deserved after being such brave patients!

Clinic favourite Hoops the Burmese was back to see Dr Shuen for his blood pressure check. At 18 years young, Hoops continues to charm everyone he meets! Thankfully, checking blood pressure in cats is a quick and gentle process, and a few tasty snacks can make all the difference
Did you know high blood pressure is quite common in older cats and can often go unnoticed? Regular blood pressure checks are important because untreated hypertension can lead to:
🐱 Vision loss or sudden blindness
🐱 Kidney damage
🐱 Heart disease
🐱 Changes in behaviour or confusion
Routine monitoring helps us pick up problems early and keep our senior feline friends feeling their best for longer 💕
