It's wonderful to see a space created where people can contribute items for the animals in our care!

The donation includes food, blankets, treats and other useful supplies, all of which will be put to good use by our team and, of course, enjoyed by the animals. 💙

At Midrand SPCA, every dog and cat who enters our care receives tick and flea treatment as part of their initial care.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄, 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝘁. 💔

We need your help please to replenish our supply so that we can continue providing this essential treatment to every animal who needs it.

The cost varies depending on the size of the animal and the product required, but R50 is a useful average cost per animal.

With an average of around 100 animals coming into our care each month, that means we need approximately 𝗥𝟱,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 to maintain this essential supply. And our actual intake can be considerably higher.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘂𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗮 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝘆:

🐾 Donating towards the cost of treatment
🐾 Donating suitable tick and flea products for dogs and cats
🐾 Sponsoring treatments for one or more animals

R50 could help provide tick and flea treatment for one animal. ❤️

While everyone else might be trying to get his attention for the camera, Bruno had his eyes set on his new owner, Bhekinkosi Nyathi! ❤️

We are delighted to see Bruno heading off to start this exciting new chapter with his forever family. 🏡🐾

Bruno was lovingly cared for at Midrand SPCA while he waited for the right family to come along, and we're so happy that his special person has finally arrived. 💙

Thank you to Bhekinkosi for choosing adoption and opening his heart and home to Bruno. We wish you both a lifetime filled with love, happiness, adventures and plenty of those all-important belly rubs! 🐶❤️

A very special thank you to the learners, teachers and families of Nizamiye Primary & High School for their incredible generosity towards the animals in our care. 🐶🐱

The learners collected and donated a wonderful selection of pet food and essential supplies, and we are so grateful for every single contribution. Seeing so many young people come together with such enthusiasm and compassion for animals truly warmed our hearts. 🥰

We were also honoured to spend time with the learners, sharing more about the work of the SPCA and the importance of kindness, compassion and responsible animal welfare. 💙

A special thank you to Inspector Theo Mokgatle and Inspector Richman Sibande, who represented Midrand SPCA and took the time to engage with the learners and share more about the important work our Inspectorate does to protect animals in our community. 🐾

What started as an idea to spend 𝟲𝟳 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀 became something so much bigger.

On Mandela Day, 19 incredible Champions stood with Midrand SPCA, each using their voice, their time and their hearts to raise funds and awareness for the animals who depend on us.

Together, through 19 campaigns, our incredible community raised an amazing:

🧡 𝗥𝟮𝟮𝟳,𝟲𝟯𝟯 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗦! 🧡

But this campaign was not only about much needed funds.

It was about people showing up.
It was about standing together.
It was about giving 67 minutes of your time, your energy and your heart to animals who have no voice of their own.

To every Champion, every supporter, every donor, every volunteer and every person who shared, donated, encouraged and believed in this campaign — 𝙏𝙃𝘼𝙉𝙆 𝙔𝙊𝙐! ❤️

You helped turn 67 minutes into something that will make a real difference to animals in our community.
