You may have heard that one of our truly beloved partners, Stryder, hasn’t been feeling his best. We aren’t entirely sure what’s going on at this point- just that it’s something. In the last few months, we’ve had the vet out various times to check on new behaviors and new bumps. We’ve done bloodwork, physical exams, neurological exams, and we’re still waiting on some of the bloodwork to come back, but really they haven’t found any definitive cause. Next week, he has an ultrasound scheduled on a growing lump on his shoulder, and another follow up with the vet. For now, he’s out of the lesson rotation and being pampered (and snuck some treats- I see you friends! 👀) instead. His owner, Amanda, who has so graciously been willing to share him with our program for the past few years, is in the loop and helping to make the best choices for him as we move forward. If you are willing to donate towards the medical costs he’s accumulated so far or as we move forward, Amanda and I would both be grateful! You can donate via venmo PayPal to [email protected] or send us a DM with your email and the amount for a pledge from quickbooks that you can pay with a few easy clicks. We are so grateful for your support and prayers for this incredible guy and your understanding as we make changes to our lesson schedule and horse assignments.

Guess what arrived today- a day early?! Our first 10 loads of dirt to start filling in Lake Paramount 🥳 It’s probably going to be slow going to get it spread, but slow and steady wins the race! I can’t wait until we can fence all this and see the horses running out here instead of the ducks 😅💞 Thank you so much to the generous donors who helped make this dirt delivery possible and to Triple B Dirt who has long been our go to for sand, dirt, hard pan, and millings!

🥹 As the school year draws to a close and these girls creep closer and closer to wrapping up their high school careers (don’t worry, they aren’t done yet!), I can’t help but feel all the feels watching them jump around and ride so confidently. Yes, I am so proud of how much they’ve progressed in their riding, but I’m also proud of their perseverance, their horsemanship, and the incredible grown up humans they are becoming. I hope that no matter where life takes them, they always look back at their time in our barn and smile, and that they always feel loved and at home when they pull down our drive. But also, if time could stop moving so fast, I’d be ok with that too 😅❤️

Thanks for taking these riders, and so many others, to the next level!

😵‍💫 Horses right?! Have you ever heard of a horse becoming cast? What typically happens is when a horse lays down and rolls too closely to a wall or (in this case) a fence, and becomes stuck (cast). Pippa decided to demonstrate today 🤦🏼‍♀️ Mr Tony sent me the first two photos while I was making up horse dinner. Thankfully, she wasn’t stuck for long and remained super calm, and Mr Tony, Ms Danielle, and I were able to put in to action my technical animal rescue training and safely flip her back over to free her. After a good rinse and check over and (of course) some cookies, she seems no worse for the wear! (I may have a few more grey hairs though!)

We’ve had the privilege of meeting many Gold Star families through our program. Today, and every day, we are holding you close in our thoughts. ❤️

Today is not a day for discounts, promotions, or reminders to subscribe.

It is a day to be still.

To say the names out loud. The ones who didn't come home. The ones whose seats at the table have been empty for years. The ones whose families woke up this morning and felt the weight of a day that the rest of the country treats as the start of summer.

They gave everything. Not some of it. Everything.

𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒅𝒊𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒆. 𝑾𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎 — 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒘𝒆 𝒌𝒆𝒆𝒑, 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆, 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈.

To every Gold Star family. To every warrior who carries a name that isn't theirs to forget. To every first responder who has stood at a graveside in uniform and known exactly what that cost.

We see you today.

We remember with you.

Avery’s on a quest to ride every horse we have at the barn 😆 She checked Cali off with a quick ba****ck ride down the aisle way, but she says she wants to lesson on her soon! Her current number is 13 out of 15 horses who currently live here (haha- it would be even higher if we counted other horses who’ve spent time in our program)! How many of our horses have you ridden?? Can you guess who else she wants to ride to finish her list??

Saturday Spotlight: Clyde 😍 This handsome boy joined our herd in September of 2025 from Georgia. We were a little surprised at his body condition when he arrived, but after some good nutrition, proper veterinary care, and some dental work, he’s filled out into quite the hunky member of our herd! Clyde had done mostly trail riding from what we know about his past, and he excels in leadline lessons. He has also captured the hearts of our ground groups and equine therapy participants with his sweet, kind nature (and his fabulous mustache)! We are thankful to have this gentle giant as part of our herd, and he’s made a big impact in his sort time here! If you’re a Clyde fan, we invite you to drop a photo or special memory below to share why you love him!

😂 Hopefully Clyde won’t need to use his life guarding skills at Lake Paramount much longer! The good news is we are almost half way to our goal of 10 loads of dirt thanks to Ms Gail, Ms Debra, Ms Christina, Ms Janet and the Ingram family! Thank you so much for your generous donations!!! We need just 6 more $100 sponsors OR 12 $50 sponsors to get there!! You can donate via Venmo PayPal to [email protected] or DM us your email and amount for a clickable pledge.

Good news! Lake Paramount has done some receding 😅 we’ve got some islands appearing and some more “stuff” poking out… and we have four loads of dirt paid for! I just found out if we can get to 10 loads, we can save a little bit with a bulk order! This means we just have $1,100 more to raise to get 10 LOADS of dirt!!! Any amount helps, but if we can find 11 followers to each commit $100, we can knock that out in no time!! Can you be one of our 11?? You can venmo PayPal [email protected] or DM us your email address to be sent a donation pledge via quickbooks!
